Juan’s personal Facebook account was covered with proof of the love he shared with Taylor, as he posted the sweet love notes she gave him online. One was a drawing of the characters from Adventure Time, and Taylor was so happy that Juan loved her artwork. “Aw babe, I can’t believe you still have my drawing as your cover photo,” she wrote. Juan also posted a sweet note featuring Winnie the Pooh and Piglet, with Taylor commenting, “Aw babe! You put it up!”

These sweet messages only make the tragedy hurt even more. Taylor was supposed to marry Juan on June 27 and, together, they were supposed to start a new life as husband and wife. Now, that can never happen, thanks to the unthinkable actions of Taylor’s mother.

Taylor and her little sister, Madison Sheats, 17, were shot by their mother on June 24. Christy reportedly called a family meeting to lure her daughters and husband, Jason Sheats, 45, into her home in the Houston suburb of Fulshear. During an explosive argument, she shot both her girls with her .38 caliber handgun. Taylor and Madison fled for their lives, but the youngest daughter collapsed, dying outside her mother’s home. Christy then chased down Taylor to shoot her again.
Taylor managed to call 911 before her death, but she could only shout, “I’m shot” before she was killed. Christy would have ended her husband’s life as well, but she had to reload. The police arrived and when a crazed Christy refused to obey their commands, the authorities had no choice but to open fire. With all the love that Taylor and Juan had for each other, knowing that she died in such a horrible way is even more devastating.
