[INTERVIEW] Selena Gomez’s ‘Hands To Myself’ Inspired By ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’? – Hollywood Life

Selena Gomez’s ‘Hands To Myself’ Inspired By ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’? — Director Speaks

Selena Gomez's music video for 'Hands To Myself' was so hot and it reminded us of when Anastasia Steele was walking around Christian Grey's house in nothing but a sheet! But did Selena get inspired by the hit books? Her director, Alek Keshishian is speaking out and revealing all! Selena Gomez looks unbelievable in her "Hands To Myself" video but if you look closely it may feel like a scene straight out of Fifty Shades of Grey! Selena, 23, walking through a big old mansion while also having wild sex with a gorgeous, ripped man -- sounds like Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey to us! Alek Keshishian, the mastermind behind Sel's hit video tells Entertainment Weekly, that the video is definitely about a stalker but loosely based on Fifty Shades too?

Sadly it turns out Alek has never even watched the movies or read the books! “I’ve never seen Fifty Shades of Grey. I just thought it was a way to quickly make it seem like it was somebody who had money and success.” Well, darn! Alek does admit that Selena was awesome to work with because she’s a total “pro.” “You’re working with somebody who knows how to perform to camera and for camera,” he said. “We would be lighting with a stand-in and then she would come in and it would be a completely live shot with her. She’s so good at it.” She has been acting all her life so it makes total sense!

We absolutely fell in love with Sel’s video. It has to be the best video she’s ever released and the hottest of 2015. Also, it doesn’t hurt that her co-star, Christopher Mason, is gorgeous and perfect for the part! We have been trying to learn more about him and it turns out he’s a model in LA, who has also worked with Selena’s bestie, Demi Lovato!
