The second step is to buy any frappuccino AND pay with your registered Starbucks Rewards card or the Starbucks app. On top of that, better ask the barista for the sweater — just in case!

This promotion is for Dec. 18 only and it’s only going on in the U.S. and Canada. Sorry, Europe. Dunkin’ Donuts was a little naughty when they released their holiday cup, showing how it was completely covered in everything the Starbucks cup lacked. And when Starbucks gave out free coffee, people still told them “Bah Humbug.” Thankfully, this Christmas sweater promotion should show Starbucks has the holiday spirit.

It hasn’t been a happy, wonderful Christmastime this year for Starbucks. On top of the red cup controversy, they were in hot water over their Polar Bear Christmas cookies.
