Taylor Lautner In ‘Ridiculous Six’ — Plays A Goofball In Netflix Original Movie – Hollywood Life

‘Ridiculous 6’: Taylor Lautner Takes On Silly Comedic Role In New Netflix Movie — Trailer

Jacob, is that you? Taylor Lautner trades his signature abs for a pair of buck teeth and a floppy hat in the new Netflix film 'The Ridiculous Six.' Check out the trailer now to see him in his silly new role! It's Taylor Lautner, 23, like you've never seen him before! The trailer for the upcoming Netflix original movie The Ridiculous Six features the heartthrob as a dopey cowboy with a pair of prosthetic buck teeth. Yee-haw! Here's the trailer you've just got to see.

Reading Time: 3 minutes

We’re used to seeing Taylor as a total dreamboat with luscious hair, breathtaking abs, and a smile that can make your heart melt – until now, that is. We’re going to see a whole new side of the actor with his role as Lil’ Pete in the western satire Netflix original movie written by the comedy king himself, Adam Sandler — and the trailer already has us in stitches.

Lil’ Pete is one of the “Ridiculous Six,” a band of outlaws that discover they’re half-brothers and set out to find their deadbeat dad. From the trailer, it seems that he’s the lovable idiot of the group, complete with overalls, a floppy hat, and big fake teeth! We don’t hear much from him during the trailer besides a giggle and a “Gaww Dang!” but we have a feeling he might be the dark horse in the film.

This isn’t the first time Taylor and Adam have worked together. The 23-year-old appeared in Grown Ups 2 as a college frat-boy that bullies a terrified Adam into jumping off of a cliff into a lake. Perhaps Taylor impressed him so much that he just had to give him a starring role!

Along with Taylor, the film is chock full of huge names in comedy. Of course the main character, White Knife, is played by Adam, but Steve Buscemi, Terry Crews, Luke Wilson, David Spade, Whitney Cummings and a slew of other stars will round out the squad and make cameo appearances in the film. It’s produced by Adam’s production company Happy Madison, which brought us Joe Dirt, Mr. Deeds and Grandma’s Boy, so it’s sure to be a knock-out.

New Adam Sandler Film Draws Criticism for Being Racist

News about The Ridiculous Six first broke in April 2015, when several of the Native American actors set to be in the film walked off set after reading the script. They felt that the movie was going to be an offensive portrayal of native people, claiming they were spoofing traditional native names with things like “Beaver’s Breath and No Bra,” and pictured “an actress portraying an Apache woman squatting and urinating while smoking a peace pipe, and feathers inappropriately positioned on a teepee.”

Hopefully Adam & Co. have done some work on getting the film to a place that is funny and enjoyable to everyone, because it looks hysterical, and we wouldn’t want that to be ruined by racism. We’ll just have to tune in on Dec. 11, 2015 when the film drops on Netflix to find out!
