It was a horrifying shock to Jake’s friends, family and famous pals when it was discovered that he reportedly committed suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning on October 23. Jake was found unresponsive in his LA home by his assistant, and there appears to be no foul play involved in the incident, according to TMZ. It’s clear that Jake is going to be missed so much. The make up artist to the stars had so many masterful projects on his resume, including styling Selena for her glamorous Revival cover. Jake shared with HollywoodLife.com in April 2015 how to get the gorgeous look at home. Jake also closely worked with Katy on some of her craziest, coolest beauty looks. Most notably, he created her look for the September 2014 cover of Cosmo — so cool!
What an amazing, talented man, who was taken from us far too soon. It’s clear that Jake touched many lives, judging from the beautiful love and prayers sent his way. His legacy is truly going to live on in so many of the breathtaking shoots and looks he created over the years.
