Nina Dobrev Leaving ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Reason — Ian Somerhalder Is To Blame

“The reason Nina quit The Vampire Diaries is because she finds it too awkward to be on set with Ian now that they’ve split. She’s known since June that she was going to quit the show and that the 6th season would be her last. Especially when Nikki [Reed] and Ian got engaged in December — that solidified her decision. It’s not about Nina pursuing bigger roles. It’s just because she can’t stand to work on set with Ian every day,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

Our source insists that Nikki didn’t make Nina feel uncomfortable. In fact, Nikki has only been to the set once, and that was the day Ian directed his episode. So Nina’s decision is based more on the fact that she just feels “awkward” being around Ian — they’re not even friends anymore, our source claims. And now that Nina is leaving, everyone’s really worried about the future of the show.

‘The Vampire Diaries’: Should It End?

“Everyone on set is really worried that the show can’t go on without Nina,” our source adds.

I actually feel the same way — read why I don’t think the show should continue on without Nina. But what do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Should The Vampire Diaries end now that Nina Dobrev has quit? Vote in our poll and tell us how you feel!
