Nicki Minaj Talks About Wardrobe Malfunction – ‘I Was Butt Ass Naked’

Nicki Minaj visited 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' on Sept. 10, and finally opened up about what caused her to have a wardrobe malfunction in the middle of her "Bang Bang" performance on Aug. 24, at the Video Music Awards! Nicki Minaj, 31, is not afraid to show a little skin, but on Aug. 24, the rapper came out covering herself during a performance of her summer hit, "Bang Bang" at the MTV Video Music Awards. On Sept. 10, Nicki visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show and opened up to host, Ellen DeGeneres, 56, about the wardrobe malfunction saying, "I was butt ass naked!"

Nicki Minaj Naked — Rapper Opens Up About Her VMA Wardrobe Malfunction

Ellen asked the singer what happened during the performance, since there was a lot of speculation about it possibly being done on purpose.

Nicki set the record straight saying, “I had I don’t know about 40-50 seconds to change from the “Anaconda” outfit into the “Bang Bang” outfit. Originally I was just going to have a skirt that just wrapped around the green but the I realized that Jessie and Arianna were wearing black and white I didn’t want ruin the shot with me wearing a green bra and them wearing black and white,” she revealed.

To make sure that her outfit went with the others Nicki said, “I was like I have to put on a black dress really quickly and sure enough we didn’t have a real quick-change right there. So it was literally my whole team just standing there holding curtains around me and it was pitch black,” the rapper revealed. “I couldn’t see anything and right before it was time for me to walk out they went to zip it up… And right there I thought I died…”

Ellen then asked if she had to hold the whole outfit together. Nicki revealed, “I didn’t have any underwear on.  No underwear. No bra, because I had just taken off the Anaconda outfit. So I was butt ass naked…I don’t know.”

The funny host than said, “Knowing that and seeing how calm and collected you were walking holding your outfit together with nothing on underneath it and signing in front of millions of people.. I think you handled it really really well.”

We couldn’t agree more! The hilarious host then gifted Nicki with a giant safety-pin — crisis averted!

Ellen DeGeneres Shows Nicki Minaj Spoofed “Anaconda” Video

Ellen then made sure to switch topics and discuss the Nicki’s wildly popular “Anaconda” video. As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, the host had teased that she might be doing a spoof of the skin baring video.

On Sept. 4, Ellen posted a picture to her Instagram that showed her twerking right alongside of Nicki! It was finally time to unveil the finished video in front of the rapper, and Nicki’s reaction is hilarious! Check out the video below!
