Kim Kardashian’s Sheer Dress At ‘GQ’ Men Of The Year Awards Took 5 Days To Make

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Kim left very little to the imagination as she rocked an ensemble that consisted of a sheer skirt and a bra — it was unlike anything she has ever worn before, and it turns out the star enlisted Ralph & Russo Couture to craft the look, specifically for the event, in less than a week! Do you love her unique dress?

Kim Kardashian must be on a bondage kick! Just days after flaunting her assets in a leather bustier dress at the Made in America music festival in LA on Aug. 31, the 33-year-old reality darling skipped across the pond, where she commanded everyone’s attention on the red carpet at GQ‘s Men Of The Year awards in London on Sept. 2 clad in a look unlike any other we’ve ever seen on the star. Kim enlisted the Parisian high-fashion label Ralph & Russo Couture to create the dress specifically for the event — and we exclusively got the scoop on the creation!

Kim Kardashian’s See-Through Dress — ‘GQ’ Men Of The Year Awards Outfit:

While Kim and her cleavage seem to be synonymous most of the time, from the neckline of the latex bodysuit to the sheer detailing of the gunmetal grey hand-embroidered tulle skirt, Kim has never taken a fashion risk quite like this before — we love her daring moment on the red carpet. The sexy, latex bodysuit put her ample chest on full display, while there was a juxtaposition of the bodysuit as it met the more romantic, sheer embroidered skirt. The detailing on the skirt is so intricate we’re amazed that the couture creation was completed so quickly!

“The look was custom-made for her, specifically for tonight’s event. She [Kim] knows exactly what she wants and she has great style, and we wanted to do something that was slightly different for her,” a spokesperson for the fashion house exclusively told HollywoodLife.com. “We started designing it four to five days ago and it was an adaption of a catwalk piece. The team really committed and prioritized it. These pieces usually take weeks to make, but we had a quick turnaround. The skirt is entirely hand-embroidered and we had a team of four people working on it. They had to pull an all-nighter last night.”

Kim polished off the look with voluminous waves and parted her hair to the side — everything about this look came together, creating a truly unforgettable red carpet moment. “She was very much involved in the final look. We wanted to create something that was unpredictable and we were all collectively excited about the fact that it’s new and unlike anything she’s ever worn before,” the spokesperson added.

While Kim looked effortlessly glam on the red carpet, it turns out the dress was being tailored right before she hit the red carpet, (but we would never know it!). “We had a fitting earlier today to make sure it fit like a glove and sent it back to the atelier one final time.”

The exclusive couture brand has also dressed Suki Waterhouse, Angelina Jolie and Arizona Muse. The fairly new label is quickly rising the ranks and becoming a go-to for many fashionable celebrites — it’s a main staple on the red carpet.

What do you think? Did you love the fact that Kim took a risk on the red carpet?
