Judge Joe Brown Arrest — His Shocking Mugshot After Courtroom Outburst

Judge Joe showed up to a Memphis, Tenn. court to represent a client in a child-support case on March 24, but was asked to leave after the judge on the bench, Magistrate Harold Horne, said the case was not on the afternoon docket. That’s when things got way out of hand and Judge Joe reportedly lost it!

Judge Joe “incited a near riot” and became verbally abusive toward the judge in open court after being asked several times to pipe down, TMZ reports. Judge Joe told Magistrate Horne that “this sorry operation needs to stop,” and insisted that the judge didn’t have the authority to send him to jail. He also said that Magistrate Horne only had $10. “I looked it up,” Judge Joe exclaimed.

Judge Joe refused to calm down, so Magistrate Horne finally sentenced him to one day in jail for contempt of court. After that, Judge Joe became increasingly angrier and was screaming so loud that he had to be dragged away. That’s when Magistrate Horne upped Joe’s sentence to five days behind bars. Judge Joe was taken into custody in the courtroom after his outburst, and later released on his own recognizance.

It remains to be seen whether he’ll have to serve the five-day prison sentence.
