Jennette opened up about her awkward and short-lived relationship with Detroit Pistons star Andre Drummond, stating it was a major lack of chemistry that made her pull the breakup card.
Reminding us that sometimes it’s better to just say no from the start, iCarly star Jennette McCurdy has spoken out about how she only agreed to date ex-boyfriend Andre Drummond because he was so persistent. Unfortunately, she also admitted that their first kiss was nothing short of terrible. Gross!
Why Jennette McCurdy Said Bye To Andre Drummond
We all know how attention from a guy can cloud our vision and make us think we have feelings that aren’t really there. And well, it seems like that is exactly what happened to 21-year-old Jennette when she agreed to go out with the Detroit Pistons player.
He pursued her via social media in Summer 2013, using the “woman crush Wednesday” hashtag until finally Jennette agreed to a date, but it didn’t take long for her to realize it wasn’t going to work. “It only lasted like a week, it was really short,” she admitted to Nerdist.com.
She went on to explain, in pretty serious detail, the disastrous kiss that sent the relationship downhill: “My first kiss with him was after we had gone laser tagging,” she said. “I stood on a chair… I sort of went for it. But it wasn’t great. It didn’t go great. No sparks and the mouth… the shapes weren’t right.”
Ughhh, even picturing that is making me cringe… Andre definitely was not the one.
Jennette McCurdy Went Social Media Public Too Soon
Jennette said that although she knew she and Andre weren’t a good fit, she felt awkward breaking up too soon since she’d already made it official via Twitter, “I already posted it on Twitter so everybody knows. So if I just ride it out for a little bit…”
The moral of the story is, don’t prematurely post, especially if you want to avoid some seriously nasty smooches. Speaking of, Andre spoke out on March 3 about her racy pics that leaked — denying that he was the culprit!
