Ginnifer Goodwin & Josh Dallas ‘Thrilled’ About Their Engagement

Dallas asked his real-life princess to marry him in LA on Oct. 9!

“We are so thrilled to announce our engagement and can’t wait to celebrate with our friends and family, including our second family at Once Upon a Time,” the couple stated to People.

Ginnifer and Dallas met on the set of Once Upon a Time and started dating in April 2012.

“It hit me like a blinding light,” Dallas told the publication. “I thought, ‘I’m in trouble now.’ ”

This is Ginnifer’s first marriage. Josh was previously married to actress Lara Pulver from 2007 until their divorce in 2011.

They haven’t announced a wedding date — or shown off any engagement bling yet — but we wonder if their ceremony and reception will be fairytale themed!

Ginnifer and Dallas’ engagement makes their story just a little sweeter, because they star as Snow White and Prince Charming on Once Upon a Time!

Ginnifer told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY about Snow White and Prince Charming’s relationship for the show’s third season on Feb. 5 at the kick-off for Listerine’s 21 Day Challenge.

“I would like to believe that love will conquer all, and that these two will always kiss and make up. But the truth is, they do want different things right now. Mary Margaret desperately wants to create a family in Storybrooke where things are relatively safer, and Charming definitely wants his kingdom back,” she told us.

Even though their onscreen relationship is rocky — Ginnifer and Josh’s offscreen relationship is utter bliss! We’re overjoyed for the couple.

Season three of Once Upon a Time premiered on Sept. 29.
