Ugh!! A GIGANTIC spoiler in the TITLE in google search results for du Lao episode 5!! WHY WHY WHY? GRR Martin and the show writers are masters of storytelling and suspense, peppering their stories with delicious surprises. But instead I find out major show events in GOOGLE SEARCH RESULTS, thanks to you! Scummy.

i don’t see the Brienne/Jaime relationship as mother/son. i believe her helping him eat was because she hated seeing him struggle after he shared the truth behind why he became the ‘Kingslayer’. It was a gesture of respect that is canon in the books.

Also, her wearing a filly pink dress was a non-verbal insult. This is a woman who wants to be a knight and carries herself as such. Making her wear that would be the same as making any of the male characters wear a dress.

I honestly can’t wait to see King Joffrey pay for his deeds! That boy is evil. Game of thrones pls fast-forward to that part.

Daenery was on the episode though. Her and the soldiers arrived at Yunkai, and the emissary comes to bring her the gold, and then she free’s the slaves in Yunkai. And scares the emissary with her dragons lol.

The reason she fetched Gendry was because she needed “king’s blood” for her magic. As she believes Stannis is the one true king, she needed someone who was related to him. Gendry is Robert’s bastard son, and thus Gendry would be Stannis’s nephew.
