‘Pretty Little Liars’ Spoiler: Is Toby Good? — Shay Mitchell Interview

Shay tells HollywoodLife.com that Toby might not be ‘A’ bad guy, after all!

Now that Spencer (Troian Bellisario) knows Toby (Keegan Allen) is on the “A” team, it’s only a matter of time before the rest of the Pretty Little Liars are clued in. But the bigger surprise, Shay Mitchell tells HollywoodLife.com, is why Toby went to the dark side. Is it possible his motives are pure?

“The girls all try to help Spencer figure out what’s going on,” Shay told us Feb. 10 in the Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge before the Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2013 show at Lincoln Center. “For Spencer and her friends, it’s the whole, ‘Did Toby do it for the right reasons, or the wrong reasons?’”

Regardless of the “why,” Shay said we shouldn’t expect Spencer to return to her normal, level-headed self anytime soon:

“We’ve seen Spencer’s character dip down into a little bit of a hole, and we see her go deeper into the hole.”

Yikes!

Alison’s Baby Mystery

As if all that Toby drama wasn’t enough, ther are also a few questions about Alison (Sasha Pieterse) lingering in the girls’ minds. For starters, was she really carrying Detective Wilden’s baby when she died?

“We’ll be touching on Alison’s whole pregnancy situation in the next episode,” Shay confirmed, adding that “Emily could have more flashbacks, like she did in the previous episode.”

She couldn’t comment on the whole “Is Alison still alive?” theory, but I’m sure the identity of the girl in the red coat won’t stay buried for much longer.
