Arie Breaks The News

Arie and Courtney began dating in Oct. 2012 after Courtney and Ben ended their engagement, and they seemed super into each other. They loved displaying PDA! Courtney and Ben split because they could no longer handle the ups and downs of their relationship, and a fun, easy going relationship with Arie seemed to be the perfect tonic for Courtney.

They quietly dated for two months, and Courtney even has the approval of Arie’s BFF Jef Holm. However, Arie released a statement on Jan. 3, confirming the end of their relationship, blaming the lack of privacy they received. Eh, didn’t they go on a televised dating show?

“Just to clear the air on dating Courtney..we are longer seeing each other. I want everyone to know she got a bad rap on The Bachelor and truly is an AMAZING person but we just both wanted more private relationships. I wish her the best and I hope we’ll remain friends.”

It’s so sweet that Arie has only nice things to say about Courtney, because he wasn’t that kind to Emily Maynard!

Courtney’s New Year

Courtney did not address the break up directly, but she seems to be ready to move onwards and upwards in 2013. On Dec. 31 she said, via Sulia:

“What a difference a year makes. I remember exactly how I felt a year ago today… Just newly engaged and in love. The show hadn’t started to air and I was looking forward to watching our love story unfold. It didn’t play out the way it could have or the way I had hoped it would. This past year was one of the hardest years of my life, but also one of the best!”

“I’m thankful to have experienced such a great love. Forever grateful for the support from my strong loving family, and friends. Maybe everything happens for a reason, maybe it doesn’t. All I know is life is beautiful and if you can find inner strength & peace within, everything will be alright. Thank you all for your support this past year, it truly means the world to me! Looking forward to a New Year and hopeful that I will find a love that knows no defeat! Happy NYE! Be safe! Xo”

Good for you, Courtney! Perhaps it may be time for her to date someone who is not related to The Bachelor. Or, she could appear on the next season of Bachelor Pad — now that we would watch!

What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Should Courtney move on, or try make things work with Arie?
