Plus, Blaine makes a decision that’ll reunite him and Kurt for years to come!

The Dec. 13 episode of Glee started with an alternate reality, one where Artie (Kevin McHale) never ended up in a wheelchair. Aside from a minute number of moments, I’d like to pretend this episode never existed. Can we make that happen? Where’s Rory Flanagan (Damian McGinty) when you need him?

Artie journeyed through a world where Blaine (Darren Criss) never existed, Quinn (Dianna Agron) died and Finchel never happened! It was Rory who acted as Artie’s guardian angle (?) through this faux reality, but in an all too quick flash, it was over with. For a theme that was super-hyped in the previews, you’d think they would put more than eight minutes into the “what if” plot direction.

Enough with my ranting! I’ll highlight the moments that did leave me entertained.

Sam & Brittany Take Their Love To The Next Level

While many fans will not agree with me, Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Brittany (Heather Morris) make a great couple. Their scenes together were sweet, cute and endearing.

In short form, Sam and Brittany think the world is ending on Dec. 21, 2012, so they set out to make the most of the last days of their lives. They humorously tell their friends how they really feel about each and every one of them, get engaged and have Coach Beiste (Dot Jones) marry them.

When the world doesn’t end (shocker!), they realize they got married (sort of) for nothing. Beiste explains that she didn’t really marry them, but continued to play along with their imaginations.

How could you NOT love these two together? Bram for life!

Blaine Makes A Huge Decision Regarding His Relationship With Kurt

When Kurt’s (Chris Colfer) dad Burt (Mike O’Malley) visits for Christmas, he brings a few surprises with him. After revealing he has prostate cancer, he sets Kurt out on a mission to secretly meet up with Blaine!

The two engage in their Christmas tradition, a duet, and then head back to Kurt’s apartment for a nice Christmas feast with Burt! There’s no such PDA, but Blaine does drop quite the bombshell — he’s applying to NYADA!

Could this be the first step in Klaine’s reunion?

Sue Proves That She Does Have A Heart

Sue (Jane Lynch) chooses Marley’s (Melissa Benoist) mom, Mrs. Rose (Trisha Rae Stahl), from the faculty’s secret santa pull. Not knowing what to gift her, she eavesdrops on a conversation between the newest addition to New Directions and her cafeteria-working mother.

Sue overhears that Marley’s mom wants to save all their money so that Marley can seek therapy for her eating disorder. That means no Christmas tree and no gifts! Bah, humbug!

Sue and Becky (Lauren Potter) sneak into Marley’s house on Christmas morning and fill the house with a big tree and lots of presents, including $800 in cash!

Merry Christmas! Of course, the episode ends with the cast singing a holiday favorite with fake snow falling from the ceiling of the auditorium. It wouldn’t be Christmas without it, right?

What did YOU think of tonight’s episode, HollywoodLifers?

I also love Sam and Brittany on this show, they are the definition of the perfect couple. Even though the world didn’t end, I thought their wedding was a clever idea. I would love it if Blaine got accepted to NYADA! I’m glad he applied. Even more, I loved it when they shared a Christmas duet but was sad to find out that Kurt’s father has prostate cancer. I’m hoping Sue pays for Marley’s therapy as a Secret Santa gift. I’m sure this episode will give me and my DISH coworker plenty to talk about tomorrow. This is why I recorded it on my DISH Hopper with the PrimeTime Anytime feature. I like to set this up to record all prime time programming that comes on the four major networks, without having to set up any individual timers.
