The country singer is coming out telling her fans that there’s no way on God’s green earth that she is gay! Read on for her brand new interview!
Dolly Parton is not a lesbian! The 66-year-old country star tells Nightline that she’s aware of the rumors that have circulated for years that she’s in love with her childhood best friend Judy Ogle but she’s saying they they are totally untrue.
“Judy and I have been best friends since we were like in the third and fourth grade,” Dolly says. “We still just have a great friendship and relationship and I love her as much as I love anybody in the whole world, but we’re not romantically involved.”
Dolly even referenced Oprah Winfrey, who has been the subject of speculation for years that she is in love with her best friend Gayle King.
“Like Gayle, her friend, Judy, my friend … [people] just think that you just can’t be that close to somebody.”
Keep in mind, that Dolly has been married for 45 years to Carl Thomas Dean. The two have no children together, but Dolly is the godmother to Miley Cyrus. Dolly was on Nightline to promote her new memoir Dream More.
