Chuck & Blair Are Staying Together Forever -- Best 'Gossip Girl' News Ever

‘GG’ executive producer Sara Goodman revealed that Chuck and Blair are going to try and keep their pact — and I couldn’t be happier! DO YOU think this is it for Chair?

Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Blair (Leighton Meester) have had a tumultuous relationship — to say the least — but finally after five seasons of missed opportunities, other lovers and bad timing , they’re on the same page: they love each other and they want to be together. These two high-society Manhattanites made a “pact” to be together forever and apparently that agreement is irreversible — phew! But in typical Gossip Girl fashion, there will be obstacles along the way, but it sounds like these troubles can easily be beat.

In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Gossip Girl executive producer Sara Goodman confirms that Chuck and Blair are going to keep their pact — as long as the Upper East Side world allows it.

“In the first episode, you know Blair and Chuck made a pact. They’re going to try and keep that pact. They love each other. They’ve said they love each other, and they’re going to try to be together. What we all hope and what we all tune in for, is that the world – whatever happens within that – doesn’t screw it up for them,” she says.

Specifically, Sara is referring to their personal lives and families — surprise, surprise.

“In the perfect world, if Chuck can beat his father and Blair can take over her mother’s mother and if they both can be the people they want to be, then they can be those people together for the rest of their lives,” she says.

Hmm! Chuck has been struggling with his father, Bart Bass, for awhile now, but I’m hoping Chuck’s just going to accept the situation as it is. And I’m not sure what trouble Blair’s grandmother will bring, but we do know that her mother, Eleanor, is a Chair shipper– she did try and stop Blair’s wedding to Prince Louis after all!

It truly sounds to me that Chuck and Blair are end game. I’m sure it won’t be an easy ride for the two in the upcoming episodes, but I truly believe that in this chairytale, love will conquer all!

I just started watching GG on netflix and honestly Chuck and Blair are the only reason why I’ve continued on with the show, I think I’m going to skip season 5 just because they aren’t together

What is this about Blair’s mother’s mother?

Fans will freak out if Chuck and Blair don’t end up together. lol. I think the showrunners are smart enough to give the fans what they want and that’s a happy ending for their main couple.

Chuck and Blair can have their stupid pact as long as they’re still banging on the sly. ;) It’ll be a total waste of hotness if Ed and Leighton don’t have more sex scenes in the final season.

Thank you for the article Nicole. I definitely think Chuck and Blair will end up together in the end. Whether they both overcome all their obstacles I’m not totally sure. Chuck may end up having to give up trying to beat Bart and just comes to terms with his father. I would be OK with that and I think it might be best for him in the end. Part of becoming a man means overcoming his family issues and as he said in the limo, he wants to be a man for Blair. She deserves it. .
