Kristen Stewart — I think you can probably attest to Brittany Kerr that even a brief indiscretion with a married man is NEVER worth the negative impact on your personal and professional life. Isn’t that true Hollywoodlifers?

Kristen Stewart got caught in photos kissing her Snow White and The Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders, and her life has not been the same since.

Let that be a warning to you, Brittany Kerr. You allegedly were photographed and seen kissing, hugging, flirting and touching married country star Jason Aldean at a club on LA’s Sunset Strip last week.

Brittany, 24, you were best known until this as the Carrie Underwood look-alike runner up in American Idol’s Season 11. You are also reportedly a dancer for the Charlotte Bobcats basketball team.

Well now, instead of those distinctions, you’ll be best remembered as the blonde who may have made mincemeat out of Jason’s marriage to his high school sweetheart, Jessica Ussex. The pair have been married for 11 years and have two daughters, according to E!

Is that really what you want your legacy to be, Brittany? As a tart who allegedly made out with a married man.

Kristen Stewart could sure tell you it wasn’t worth it. Her cheating episode almost cost her her relationship with Robert Pattinson – it still may — and it shook the reverence and loyalty of thousands of her fans. Cheating is bad enough but doing it with a married man, especially when there are children who will be affected, is especially a turnoff to other women. They sympathize with the wife and children who are hurt, not the women who may be responsible for the breakup of a family.

How Kristen Stewart Was Hurt By Cheating With a Married Man

Kristen publicly apologized to Rob, and then spent weeks hiding out and reportedly repeatedly apologizing to Rob some more, in a bid to win back his love.

Meanwhile, Jason Aldean distanced himself as quickly as humanly possible from you, just like Rupert Sanders did to Kristen, emphasizing that basically you meant nothing to him.

“The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar. I left alone…I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself,” Jason wrote on his Facebook page on Sunday, Sept. 30.

Bet that makes you feel pretty small Brittany — you’re just a part of a “screw up,” according to Jason, 34. And that’s how it is for most women who get involved with a married man, whether it’s an evening fling, an afternoon make-out session — like Kristen’s — or something much more longterm.

Women who have an affair with a cheater don’t usually end up married to them, like LeAnn Rimes or Angelina Jolie. But even when they do, they carry that notoriety with them for as long as their “new” relationship lasts, even if years go by and children are born.

More often  however, Brittany, you will join the ranks of the notorious but not in a good way.

There’s a Double Standard of Cheating For Women

Unfortunately, society still seems to punish women who cheat with a cheater, more than their cheating men. Men, unfairly are more frequently forgiven and their flings forgotten. Especially, when they are in a greater position of power and fame.

Ashton Kutcher infamously cheated on then-wife, Demi Moore, with 22-year-old Sara Leal, a pretty blonde who subsequently lost her job as an administrative assistant, her best friend and worst of all, the respect of her father, who wouldn’t talk to her.

President Clinton‘s White House paramour, Monica Lewinsky, has never been able to live down her infamy and launch a successful career. She’s now writing a tell-all book about her affair with the President.

Michelle “Bombshell” McGee has receded into the land of the forgotten after her affair with Jesse James destroyed his marriage to Sandra Bullock. As are all 17 of Tiger Woods‘s mistresses and Bill Clinton‘s even earlier, alleged mistress, Gennifer Flowers.

So much for trying to use an affair with a married man into a positive career move. It really doesn’t happen unless you’re already a huge star like the legendary Elizabeth Taylor who ran off with singer Eddie Fisher, the husband of America’s sweetheart actress Debbie Reynolds in 1959 and yes, did go on to become an even bigger star with a lot more marriages.

Cheating With A Married Man is NOT a Good Career Move

Buy honestly, that situation is one in a million.

For the rest of the single women who hook up with high profile married men, the cheating is just a tarnish they really don’t need and that I bet most regret.

I can guarantee you that Kristen regrets it — she publicly apologized, just like Jason Aldean. I’m sure that if she could turn back time and NOT have a fling with a married man, she would do it.

So Brittany Kerr, don’t make out with another married man even if he’s a big star. You deserve more for yourself! What do you think Hollywoodlifers?
