Honey Boo Boo’s Family Has A Criminal Past

The wild antics of everyone’s favorite pageant family are entertaining on the TV show ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,’ but Alana’s parents have their own family secrets! Find out what they are hiding!

Alana Thompson‘s sassy personality and crazy, self-proclaimed “redneck” lifestyle was so entertaining on Toddlers & Tiaras, the network decided to give her family their own spinoff show. But after the wildly popular premiere of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, the pageant queen’s parents’ criminal secrets are beginning to surface.

On their reality show, Honey Boo Boo, her mama June “Coupon Queen,” Shannon and dad Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson seem to enjoy a down-home lifestyle in rural Georgia, including mud-flopping and pigs’ feet-bobbing.

But the skeletons in their closet reveal a not-so-fun past, including allegations of child abuse against Alana, 6, after she was filmed dancing on top of a bar table for money.

Unpaid bills and dues also seem to be a major problem for the family, and former landlord Michael Nelson claimed the Thompsons owe him money in unpaid rent.

“I sued them in 2007 because they owed me $1,500, but I never saw the money,” Michael told Star magazine. Additional funds in unpaid child support put June behind bars in 2008, after she failed to pay the $643 she owed involving her daughter Anna, now 17.

She was locked up for four days, and faced an additional 30 days if she didn’t pay the $643 she owed, a court clerk told Star, but she paid the money and was released.

Alana’s dad “Sugar Bear” was convicted of burglary in 1994 in Hancock County, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections. Although he was paroled after 16 months, it was revoked when he was arrested again for possession of a firearm in 1998. He spent four more months in jail.

I think that honey boo boos mother June Shannon is a lair and that she has been using that little girl to pay her bills which is wrong. I aslo think that Honey boo boo is a child who’s out of control because of her mother. I think the point this article is making is that they’re not fit to be parents, which we kind of already new by their exploitation of their child, basically child abuse. It’s driving the kid nuts, she looks and acts retarded. The mom is the number 1 ugliest person I’ve ever seen, honestly, and disgustingly obese, I think she’s trying to live through her child and using her to make herself feel better (in addition to for money).

I think you are missing the point. A bad mother lets her kids eat what ever they want when they want and do what ever they want to do with out correcting them.
