Blair Waldorf: When Will You Realize Chuck Is A Changed Man?

Blair once again refuses to acknowledge a good thing when it comes along. Why is it so difficult for her to realize that Chuck is different now? He’s a changed man for crying out loud!

I shamelessly admit that when Dan (Penn Badgley) took Blair (Leighton Meester) to the steps of the Met on the April 9 episode of Gossip Girl to fulfill her dream of being a princess– it was pretty darn cute. During that moment in time, for one tiny second, I thought Dan and Blair are kind of cute together.

But it didn’t take long before I quickly snapped back to reality and came to my senses. Blair wouldn’t have even had the chance to kiss Dan on the steps of the Met if it weren’t for CHUCK (Ed Westwick)!

So while Dan’s gesture was cute, charming or whatever you want to call it — Chuck’s gesture of paying Blair’s dowry was far more meaningful. So where was Chuck’s kiss on the steps of the Met, Blair? Or for the very least — where was his “thank you”?

Instead of being appreciative, Blair got mad at Chuck and accused him of pay her dowry from Prince Louis (Hugo Becker) to win her heart back, but that wasn’t the case — at all. Like Chuck said, he just wanted Blair to be free from the evil prince. He didn’t have any ulterior motives behind paying her dowry.

WHY is it SO difficult for Blair to realize that Chuck isn’t the same scheming man he was at Constance? Especially considering that Blair hasn’t always been an angel herself.

Blair used to be quite devious back in her Constance days. With that being said, you would think Blair would be totally understanding and believe Chuck when he says he’s a changed man. Right?

Blair really needs to shape up and accept Chuck for who he is now: a changed, good-hearted man. He really is just looking out for Blair’s best interest.

Blair may not be in love with Chuck at the moment, (I’m convinced this is just a phase for B) but the least she could do is thank him for freeing her and lend him a helping hand when he needs it — like he did last night.

And what Chuck did holds more meaning period, it’s NOT about Dan not having the money. What Chuck did was completely selfless not just a meaningless romantic act like Dan’s. That’s the difference. He did it with no ulterior motive. He didn’t want Blair to find out. He wanted her to be free of Louis, even to be with DAN.

Nice try Dair fans, polls that you can vote more than once in don’t count. Chair/Chuck/Chuck and Blair ALWAYS win when you can only vote once. And I don’t want to here any b.s. about cheating. In the Zimbio march madness poll Dair fans were caught cheating AND actively recruited people to vote against Chair and they STILl made it to the top two. Dair got killed in the top 16. And this was a one vote per ip address poll.

Twitter, Facebook, and the ratings speak for themselves. Dair is not a popular storyline and it needs to be over. The demo ratings are worse than ever this season and during the Dair arc starting w/ episode 13 the ratings kept falling. And yes, I know the ratings have gone down since Season 1 and 2 in general, but frankly that happens on every network TV show and a lot of people got sick of what the writers were doing to Chair after Season 3 and quit watching.

Chuck is a changed man and Blair is only regressing and going through her old Season 2 post crisis pattern. It’s not subtle at all. Compare how she reacted to losing yale in Season 2 to now. Rebound guy, only this time it’s Dan instead of Nate.

Fix Chair and Derena please, these couples are what made the show great, along with the all important S and B frienship which was like the PREMISE behind the show and yet somehow even that is tossed aside right now.

The met scene was PATHETIC dan and blair are DISGUSTING.I can’t beleive chuck paid her dowry she doesn’t deserve it at all.She is a whore now she can sleep with some guy and make some money blair is a slut

Dan and Blair are wonderful together. I love Dair.

Age ain’t nothing but a number for these loved-up A-Listers. My BF and I both think so! He is almost 10 years older than I. What is your problem? Even if you don’t want to see Dair together, you don’t have to repudiate Dan. He is way nicer than Chuck and he loves Blair with all his heart. Get a life!

Dan may not have much money, but he is a bigger heart and with a sweet and simple gesture, he can make Blair happy outta thin air…so screw you nicole, go get some love in ur life

LOL.Dan is a nice guy deep down, but he can be just as manipulative and conniving as the rest of them, and he’s proven that many times over. Honestly, I don’t get why people try to turn Dan into this savior of Blair or something. NONE of the characters on the show like that, least of all Dan. Did Dair fans miss the entire point of Dan’s book “Inside”? LOL. Dan’s only with her right now b/c he turned her against Chuck and got together with her when she was vulnerable and alone. It’s not going to last.

I would agree with you if Dan had the money to pay the dowry but all he could do was this sweet symbolic act

Loved the article!!! but tbh I wouldn’t take B’s attitude so seriously, we all know the Waldorf subtext and we all know that this is that time of the year when B is dating another guy and then gets completely paranoid and on denial about her feelings for Chuck so let’s not get all worked up about that, we know whats gonna happen next right? ;)

Chuck is the man Blair is meant to be with. Nicole knows and we know. STUFF it!

I’d much rather have Chuck and Blair than boring and super lame Dan and Blair. God, they put me to sleep!

I don’t like the manip because I think Chair are better than that lousy met scene but I’m with Jennifer Chuck is more selfless and in the end Blair will say she loves him more!
