Jessica says she’s the strict parent because she used to be a naughty kid herself!
Posing for a photo shoot styled by Brad Goreski and featuring cute kids’ line 77kids by American Eagle, Jessica Alba appears on the April cover of Parenting magazine and reveals her parenting techniques with daughters Honor and Haven! “I’m the disciplinarian,” she admits. “I think it’s because I was kind of a naughty kid myself: I’d push my parents’ buttons and test them to see how much I could get away with.”
“When I was a kid, I told myself, ‘When I become a mother, I’m never going to say ‘Do it because I said so!’ to my children. I’ll definitely give them my reasons,’ she explains. “Yep, I’ve totally said it — and without giving reasons.”
Jessica also admits that sometimes she doesn’t tell her daughters the whole truth. “I serve Honor flavored sparkling water — she thinks that it’s soda, and that’s what I let her think,” she says. “And when the paparazzi follow us, and she asks me what they’re doing, I tell her ‘They’re just taking pictures. Isn’t that silly?’ I don’t want her to have anxiety, so I tell her they do that to everyone, not just our family.”
But Jessica says they did sit down with Honor to prepare her for being a big sis to Haven. ”Honor realized she was going to be the cool sister,” Jessica explains. “Now, she’s really into being my helper. When I change Haven’s diaper, I ask her, ‘Can you throw this away for Mommy?’ or ‘Can you get me the wipes?’ She’s really into it. I tell her, ‘Oh, you’re such a good big sister!’ and give her a high five.”

Who gives a care about a woman that uses her kids to get attention.Do you see any other famous people everyday out with their kids,going only to places where cameras are a poppin? answer NO a good set of parents would make some kind of reasonable attempt to protect their kids from at least some or all of the scroungers called photographers.oh and she tells her kid that they do this to everyone, how about not pimping your kids out everyday instead of lying to them? No doubt her daughter has anxiety issues about it how could she not when she is subjected to it everyday, Jessica is just too concerned about herself to notice.

Her overpriced diaper co is going to flop right on its as$, they are so overpriced in this economy all anyone cares about is the price, she already says they are not the cheapest, well duh. then your not going to be successful.No one has $$$$ except for overpaid actors and celebs,and soon they too will be severely effected by our sinking ship called the USsinkingship

This woman, is a loser, and both of her kids will grow up to be huge brats liars just like they have learned from mommy, the one that looks like a boy already looks like she already has serious behavior problems.

Wow. mean much? She is a cute little girl that looks like her dad. I bet shell grow up to be really pretty. We dont know these people. Why be so awful to them. this includes everyone on here commenting awful stuff…

It is no secret that her oldest daughter Honor is autistic, it is a shame that she does not speak out and support the cause, just a shame, it makes her look as if she is embarrassed by her own flesh and blood, how sad is that?

What make you think her daughter is autistic? Are you a doctor? Do you study behaviors? Or is it because you think her kid is ugly? If its the last one you have just insulted every parent who has a kid with autism and everyone who has autism. Ugly does not equal autistic if it did then you probably are.

Ive read a lot of her interviews and she def says a lot of contradictory things.It often looks like she is trying to convey being a person that she knows she is not? strange!

I have to agree with the other poster here, if you lie to your kids you are teaching your kids to lie to you! end of story. p.s. Jessica Alba does interviews like she acts ( she sucks)she needs to stop talking so much and putting her own foot in her mouth.

way to go teach your kids its ok to lie! not! there is nothing wrong with telling your kids the truth, eventually these things she tells her kids will be figured out and there WILL be a trust breech…honesty is always the best policy. I honestly think she is one of THE worst parents ever, she says and does a lot of dishonest things both with and to her kids and others…I would never trust her that is for sure. my mom always told me if a person behaves one way with one person they for sure will do the same to you and anyone else in their life,,,she has never been wrong about stuff like that nor has she ever lied unlike some people!

Jessica Simpson doesnt care what she eats or what she looks like (fat whale) and Jessica Alba only cares about what she looks like and being an anorexic pretzel, they both share the same name because they are both air heads with issues! LOL so true!
