LAURA'S LOVE LIFE ADVICE: Handle Jealous Texts From An Ex Like Kim Kardashian Does!

Kim received some awful text messages from ex-BF Reggie Bush on the season finale of Keeping Up With the Kardashians last night — but she handled his rudeness with grace! Find out how to handle a similar situation here at HollywoodLife.com

If you’ve ever broken up with a boyfriend only to have him hurl nasty accusations and comments to your phone (not to your face) then you have some idea of what Kim Kardashian recently went through. After splitting from her BF of two years, Reggie Bush,  the reality starlet began dating Miles Austin, another pro football player — and Reggie did NOT react well!

On the Oct. 24 season finale of her reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim, now 30, fielded some harsh comments from Reggie, 25, including this gasp-worthy dig: “So glad I didn’t buy you a f***ing ring! I mean, God, why was I ever considering that? ” OUCH.

Kim DID lose her cool when Reggie confessed that hearing about her new boyfriend was “literally driving me crazy” when she sniped of his alleged affair with waitress January Gessert, “you don’t text other f***ing whores!” However, for the most part, she was calm and collected, fielding his calls with aplomb and simply saying she was glad to finally see the “real Reggie” coming out.

So what should YOU do in a similar situation? If you still have a platonic and decent relationship with your ex, you accept his calls and talk it out. Of course he’s going to be jealous — especially if you’re moving on with a new and improved model!

If you AREN’T close with your ex, you have no reason to read his text messages, pick up his phone calls or respond to his anger. You two are done, finished, finito — and there’s no need to introduce any hostility or hate into your life. If you two don’t have a healthy former-lover relationship, then you don’t owe him anything — and you certainly don’t need to be explaining yourself…or your new man.

As for Kim, I would have suggested she give Reggie some forewarning. The two were in love, talking marriage and still friendly…and the poor guy was totally blindsided and embarrassed in the press when he found out about Kim’s newsworthy new beau. Still, given that Reggie dropped the “ring” comment, I think he got exactly what he deserved. Do you?

First, out respect for Reggie, Kim should have forwarned him..You can’t say you love someone and then throw them under the bus…Reggie reacted like any man would..First it’s the sextape, then the nude photos and now Miles Austin; For Christ sake they play in the same league..He had every write to be hurt and embarassed..Reggie was more hurt than jealous…And unfortunately, when you r hurt, you say mean things…Kim needs to grow up and realize that somethings r better left private…This family will do anything for ratings…She should get an oscar for the fake cry over Miles “Gums” Austin…Sadly, he was the victim in all of this…
