We thought these two would definitely go the distance! New reports say George and his wife Ann have decided to amicably split — even after she gave him one of her kidneys!

George, 49, and Ann Lopez are now being added to the list of broken Hollywood marriages. The host of Lopez Tonight and his wife announced Sept. 27 that they’re ending their 17-year marriage.

“The decision is amicable and by mutual agreement,” a representative for the couple said in a statement. “They remain dedicated parents, and committed partners in business and their philanthropic organization, The Lopez Foundation.”

Ann and George met in 1993 and have one daughter, 10-year-old Mayan Lopez, who is also in show business.

Many are shocked with the report that the long-time couple is divorcing. What’s even more shocking is that George’s soon-to-be ex-wife gave him one of her kidneys in 2005. George was suffering from a genetic condition that caused his kidneys to deteriorate and Ann decided to offer up one of hers.

Even though the two stepped out together just last week at the Padres El Contra Cancer’s 25th Anniversary Gala in Hollywood, it appears their relationship couldn’t be more than over.

Here’s our question: Should she ask for her kidney back? (We kid… sort of.)

He’s just gonna go out and get him one of those gorgeous latina girls who don’t give a rat’s ass about him. They will sleep with him for fame that’s about it.

Whether latina/ asian/ african american/ caucasian, all in his own right. Doubt they’ll be asleep, cause he seems well endowed. Whether for his game or simply bubble gum. As long as they’re all consenting adults, who’s to judge. In Love & War all is fair.

I´m not surprised, once fame and money goes to these artists head, majority of them usually say goodbye to their morals, ethics and principles.

I really tried to believe in George, but I a, NOT surprised. He is WEAK. A GOOD man could resist all the cheap women throwing themselves at them…..but there are very few GOOD men out there. I will bet my life he gave in……Total disregard for what his wife gave up for him. I would support her taking her kidney back.

I’ts pretty sad how men take great women for granted.I bet that girl that he cheated with wouldn’t give a chance if he wasn’t famous.

It’s not a question of gender’s, there’s alot of us women who take men for granted too. And also wouldn’t bet on it, fame or no fame, the guy is very charismatic, & I personally love a man that can make me laugh.

Obviousely he gave in, I wouldn’t say total disregard to spouse. Am sure he’s grateful for her kind gesture, giving him her kidney, she did that, out of the goodness & kindness of her heart. And is making points with the one up above. whether points with George or not, we are not to condemn or judge. One is not gonna be in debt to out mates for the rest of our lives. Get real, people simply grow apart, period.
