College sweethearts Prince William and Kate Middleton first met while attending the University of St. Andrews in Scotland in 2001. After nearly a decade together, the heir to the British throne married Kate on April 29, 2011, in a globally watched ceremony at Westminster Abbey in London, with Prince Harry serving as best man.
Now known as the Prince and Princess of Wales — titles they received in 2022 following the death of Queen Elizabeth II — the couple went on to start their family shortly after. They welcomed their first child, Prince George, on July 22, 2013, followed by Princess Charlotte on May 2, 2015, and Prince Louis on April 23, 2018. All three children were born at St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London, the same hospital where Diana, Princess of Wales gave birth to William and Harry.
