Rocky, who was standing trial for allegedly shooting a former friend, has just been found not guilty. Here’s a look at the rapper’s early career in comparison to his more recent years.
A$AP Rocky, born Rakim Mayers, has made a significant mark in the music and fashion industries over the past decade or so. His influence extends beyond his music, as he has become a notable figure in style and culture. Additionally, at home, he has built a beautiful life with his partner Rihanna and their two children, RZA and Riot Rose. However, his journey hasn’t been without challenges; he was recently facing trial for allegedly shooting a former friend. In August 2022, the Los Angeles Police Department arrested him at LAX, charging him with two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, to which he pleaded not guilty. The trial began on January 24, 2025, in Los Angeles, California. TMZ reported that he rejected a plea deal that included 180 days in jail and potential 24-year prison sentence for the alleged shooting. He was found not guilty.
