Emily Ratajkowski found love in the heart of New York City on Oct. 14. The 31-year-old model was photographed making out with a mystery man – except that man is a mystery no more! The person on the other end of EmRata’s lips was Orazio Rispo, a 35-year-old DJ, tech entrepreneur, and son of a real estate mogul. Here’s the scoop on Emily’s new flame.
Emily Ratajkowski filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Sebastian Bear-McClard, in September 2022, months after the two called it quits. The couple married in a surprise ceremony in February 2018 and welcomed their son, Sylvester Apollo Bear, in March 2021. EmRata’s documents were reportedly contested, meaning that she and her soon-to-be ex-husband have some issues to work out.
“Born and raised in New York City, Orazio’s 20-year career as a DJ spans all cultures, continents, and genres,” reads a bio for Orazio on the Alegria record label/art gallery website. “Approaching his tenth year as a ReSolute resident, Orazio also owns and operates Brooklyn’s legendary Halcyon Record Shop. A seasoned room-reader, he’s sonically unpredictable… but like… in a good way.”
Orazio’s father is Giampiero Rispo, the founder and president of residential brokerage Domus Reality, a company that specializes in selling “luxury real estate in New York City.”
“As principal of Domus, Giampiero fulfills the dual role of wealth manager and expert real estate adviser,” reads his bio on LinkedIn. “Drawing on his extensive background in finance, business, and real estate, Giampiero’s primary goal is to strategically invest and manage his clients’ assets in the real estate market in the most rewarding and hassle-free way possible.” One of the properties that Domus is selling is a $135 million residence in Midtown East. With five bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, and 8,000 square feet, it’s advertised as a “one-of-a-kind Hiroshi Sugimoto-designed masterpiece.”
According to a LinkedIn profile associated with Orazio, he’s a tech entrepreneur, working as a chief strategy officer of a mobile app called Sprokit, a company developing “Mobile technology to reduce recidivism by better connecting re-entering prisoners with parole/probation, social services, and rehabilitation programs, employers, families, and friends.”
Apparently, Orazio graduated from Columbia University in 2015 with a major in psychology and political science, cognitive psychology, and psycholinguistics. His profile also lists that he speaks English, French, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese.
Nick Kroll — the comedian best known for his work on Big Mouth, Kroll Show, The League, Comedy Bang! Bang! and a recent dramatic turn in Don’t Worry Darling – married landscape artist Lila Kwong in November 2020. In 2015, as Gawker notes, Lily spoke with Women’s Wear Daily about her Fourth of July plans, telling the publication, I’m headed to Montauk with my boyfriend and a big crew — the plan is to watch our friend Orazio Rispo DJ a big waterfront party on Friday and then spend the rest of the weekend barbecuing and unwinding on the beach. I’m most looking forward to eating summer corn!”
Gawker also noted that Lily and Orazio had attended a few charity galas together, going all the way back to 2012.
“We met on the first day of college on our library tour,” Lily captioned a Feb. 22, 2017, Instagram post of her with Orazio. “We took philosophy, French, astronomy, and bombed macroeconomics exams together. My little brother moved in with you at 154 W 27th, where I eventually met my amazing boyfriend. We’ve adventured to Abu Dhabi, Switzerland, Ibiza, DC, Miami & Black Rock City as an eagle squad. We’ve talked/argued Plato, Bernie, and moral imperatives. We’ve had a few good laughs & dances along the way. This is what a friendship looks like! Happy 30th @orispo – love you forever.”
