Where Is Casey Anthony Now? Her Life After She Went on Trial For Her Daughter’s Murder

The researcher has reportedly maintained a job while living with her former defense investigator following Caylee’s death.

Casey Anthony has lived a private life away from the public eye since she was acquitted for the murder of her daughter, Caylee Anthony, in 2011. Due to the high-profile case, though, the public is still interested in knowing her whereabouts. After showing her face for the first time in Peacock’s 2022 docuseries Casey Anthony: Where the Truth Lies, her parents, George and Cindy Anthony, are now coming forward with their side of the story in Casey Anthony’s Parents: The Lie Detector Test, which airs on A&E on January 4.

The new A&E special is promised to display Casey’s parents’ authentic responses to several questions, including Casey’s accusation against George that he sexually assaulted her.

“Casey Anthony’s explosive accusations that her father molested Casey and Caylee and that he is responsible for Caylee’s death, prompted George and Cindy’s decision to undergo lie detector tests,” a press release for the A&E special read. “Their real-time responses to the polygraph questions are laid bare in the documentary along with each spouse’s reaction to the other’s answers and the lie detector results.”

To find out what Casey and her parents are doing today, keep reading.

Where Is Casey Anthony Now?

As shown in Peacock’s Where the Truth Lies, Casey is still living in Florida with Patrick McKenna, who was the lead investigator from her trial. She started her own photography business, Case Photography LLC, in 2015, per In Touch. However, the LLC appeared to have gone out of business in the years since. In 2020, Casey created her own research firm: Case Research & Consulting Services LLC.

While sitting down for her first on-camera interview in 2022, Casey accused her father of being the culprit behind Caylee’s death.

“I wasn’t feeling that great, and I wanted to lay down. I had her lay in bed with me,” she claimed. “I was awoken by [my father] shaking me and asking me where Caylee was. That didn’t make sense. She would never even leave my room without telling me. I immediately started looking around the house. I go outside, and I’m looking to see where she could be.”

After alleging that George brought Caylee in “soaking wet,” Casey claimed that George “handed her” to Casey to tell her it was her fault and that she had “caused” this.

“But he didn’t rush to call 9-1-1, and he wasn’t trying to resuscitate her,” she further alleged. “I collapsed with her in my arms. She was heavy, and she was cold. He takes her from me, and he immediately softens his tone and says, ‘It’s going to be OK.’ I wanted to believe him. He took her from me, and he went away.”

While insisting that she wasn’t accusing George of killing Caylee, Casey alleged that he had something to do with her death and that he tried to cover it up with the excuse that she had drowned.

“There was no ladder … no way for her to shimmy up,” Casey claimed. “There’s no way to explain that, unless [my dad] put her in the pool to cover up what he did. … I wasn’t the only one home.”

Where Are Casey Anthony’s Parents Today?

Like Casey, Cindy and George still reside in Florida. While sitting down for their A&E on-camera interview, the pair vehemently denied having anything to do with Caylee’s death. George also denied ever sexually assaulting Casey. As for Cindy, she noted that she thinks Casey “100 percent” knows how Caylee died.

“Yes, I believe [Casey knows], 100 percent,” Cindy pointed out. “I kept hoping upon hope that she would confess. And that’s the only reason I’ve been putting myself through all of her drama and everything.”

Does Casey Anthony Still Talk to Her Family?

By the looks of their back-and-forth accusations against one another, it does not appear that Casey has maintained any relationship with George and Cindy.

Previously, though, George attempted to reach out to Casey after he reportedly suffered from a nearly fatal car accident. He claimed on the Dr. Oz show in 2019 to read a letter that he allegedly wrote for Casey.

“I just want to let her know how I felt,” he explained. “I know of one thing I did say to her: ‘I would love to see you and I would love for mom to know where you’re at, how you’re doing.’ … I said, ‘Casey, no matter what, I’m still your dad and I love you.’ That was hard for me, but I needed to get that from me because you can’t move on if you keep on holding all these things inside, you need to be able to express yourself.”
