Spring TV is in full motion, so get those DVRs ready! The month of April has so many premieres to get excited about — especially this Easter weekend. There’s plenty of content to enjoy and binge this weekend, including The First Lady, the Power Book IV: Force finale, and more.

The First Lady is an hour-long drama series focusing on the lives of the incredible First Ladies throughout history. The first season will revolve around Michelle Obama, Betty Ford, and Eleanor Roosevelt. The Showtime series stars Viola Davis as Michelle Obama, Michelle Pfeiffer as Betty Ford, and Gillian Anderson as Eleanor Roosevelt. Additional cast includes Kiefer Sutherland, Aaron Eckhart, Dakota Fanning, O.T. Fagbenle, and more. The First Lady premieres April 15 on Showtime and will air weekly.
Outer Range is a new Prime Video series that focuses on Royal Abbott, played by Josh Brolin, a rancher fighting for his land and family who discovers an unfathomable mystery at the edge of Wyoming’s wilderness. In addition to Josh, the cast also includes Imogen Poots, Lili Taylor, Tamara Podemski, Lewis Pullman, Tom Pelphrey, Noah Reid, Shaun Sipos, Isabel Arraiza, and Will Patton. The series will consist of 8 episodes. Two new episodes will be available every Friday for the next four weeks.
You can always count on Hallmark! Love, Classified is a new Hallmark movie premiering on April 16. Romance novelist, Emilia, returns home after a long absence, to reconnect with her children who also are finding their own paths to love. The film stars Melora Hardin, Arienne Mandi, Katherine McNamara, and Max Lloyd-Jones. Love, Classified is part of the network’s “Spring Into Love” programming event.
Anatomy of a Scandal is a psychological thriller and courtroom drama that examines Britain’s elite through a personal and political scandal. When James is accused of sexually assaulting a woman he was also having an affair with, his life with his wife and family is upended. Meanwhile, barrister Kate Woodcroft gets involved in the trial, and she has her own history with the Whitehouse family. The Netflix show’s all-star cast includes Sienna Miller, Rupert Friend, Michelle Dockery, and Naomi Scott. All 6 episodes of the series premiered April 15 on Netflix.

HBO Max’s Not So Pretty is a gripping documentary series that is the first-ever comprehensive large-scale investigative expose of the trillion-dollar cosmetics, beauty, and personal care industry. Not So Pretty examines the hidden hazards of cosmetics and explores safe, budget-friendly alternatives you can begin using. Not So Pretty is narrated by Keke Palmer. The 4-part series premiered April 14 on HBO Max.
Swimming with Sharks is a new drama series starring Diane Kruger and Kiernan Shipka. The show dives deep into the dark side of the Hollywood studio system through the eyes of an assistant who turns the tables on an abusive boss. The series was an official selection of SXSW. The cast also features Donald Sutherland, Thomas Dekker, Finn Jones, Erika Alexander, Ross Butler and Gerardo Celasco. All episodes will air exclusively on The Roku Channel starting April 15.
Tommy Egan’s standalone series is wrapping up its wildly successful first season on April 16. In the wake of Gloria’s tragic death, the Flynns are out for Tommy’s head. Vic’s willing to start a war with Tommy, but he doesn’t know who he’s messing with. Meanwhile, Tommy is on the hunt trying to figure out who shot D-Mac. Tommy’s run in Chicago is far from over. Power Book IV: Force has already been renewed for a second season. The season 1 finale will air April 16 on STARZ.
The Grande Dame is heading home! In the two-part special, The Real Housewives of Potomac: Karen’s Grande Dame Reunion, Karen Huger travels to her hometown in Virginia to reunite with her family, the Woodens. Karen’s husband, Ray, and her daughter, Rayvin, will be joining her on this emotional visit to Surry County. The special premieres April 17 at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
