Dak Prescott’s hopes of winning the 2023 Super Bowl came to an end when the Dallas Cowboys lost to the San Francisco 49ers on Jan. 22. Just days following the loss, Page Six is reporting that Dak went through another heartbreak in the past year — a split from his girlfriend, Natalie Buffett. Natalie noticeably didn’t post about the Cowboys throughout the 2022 season on social media, and it turns out that it’s because the two had broken up. HollywoodLife has reached out to Dak’s agent for confirmation.
Page Six reports that Dak is currently “casually dating” following his March 2022 split from Natalie, which the two were reportedly able to “keep close to the vest.” Because Dak and Natalie were fairly private about their two year relationship, not much is known about their romance. While its unclear exactly how Dak and Natalie met, she went to college in Texas and resides in Dallas, where he has played for the Cowboys since 2016. No, as of the beginning of 2023, Dak and Natalie are not together. The two started dating at some point in 2020, and Natalie went Instagram official with their relationship in July of that year. She posted a photo of the two together with a football field in the background, along with the caption, “Happy birthday babe!”
That October, they dressed up as a doctor and nurse amidst the coronavirus pandemic. At the time, Dak was healing an ankle injury and was on crutches. Natalie also shared an Instagram photo of the two celebrating Valentine’s Day on the beach in Feb. 2021, and they took another tropical getaway to Mexico in July 2021. Dak and Natalie went on to make their red carpet debut as a couple at the NFL Honors event in Feb. 2022, but, according to Page Six’s report, they broke up shortly after that.
Natalie has been working as the Director of Content Creation and Strategy at OxeFit since May 2021, according to her LinkedIn. OxeFit is a home fitness company. “We strive to create strength training experiences that are accessible to everyone from beginners to professional athletes and to bring physical and mental well-being into everyday life,” the brand’s website says. Before that, Natalie was an Engineering Intern at BGE, Inc. from Jan. 2019 until Jan. 2020.
Natalie’s LinkedIn reveals that she attended Southern Methodist University. She graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering in 2019.
Natalie and Dak are the proud dog parents to four dogs combined. Dak had two pit bulls first, and then the couple adopted a French bulldog together in March 2020. The furry family was rounded out by the addition of a second French bulldog in Jan. 2021. The pets are named Legend, Icon, Bean and Atlas and they have their own Instagram account, @Beanie.And.The.Boys. It is unclear who is currently the primary caretaker of the dogs now that they are no longer a couple.
Natalie is fairly active on Instagram, where she uses the handle @Natalie_Buffett. In addition to photos with Dak, she shared solo shots, images from her travels, and pics with friends. She often posts photos and videos from Cowboys games, as well. Natalie has more than 75,000 followers on the app.
