Carson Daly has been a staple of TV for a quarter of a century. While he’s been a host for a variety of different programs, music has been a throughline for his entire career. Beginning in radio and joining MTV as a VJ in 1998, Carson became a household name when he hosted the beloved music block and show TRL. After his stint on MTV, he began hosting the late night show Last Call with Carson Daly from 2002 to 2019. In 2011, he began hosting the beloved musical competition show The Voice, which is a job he’s held for over a decade. In 2013, he joined Today as a social media correspondent, but he’s since become a full-time co-host.
Carson has had his wife Siri Pinter by his side for much of his career. The couple got engaged in 2013, and married in 2015. Besides his many jobs as host, he has one title that he wears more proudly than all the others: dad. Carson and Siri are parents to four adorable kids. Get to know all of their children here.
Carson and Siri welcomed their eldest child Jackson, 14, in March 2009. The Voice host revealed that his son spent much of his early childhood spending time with him at the musical show. “He’s really an old soul, and mature beyond his years,” he told Today.com. “He’s been in a lot of adult situations. I mean, he grew up backstage at The Voice.”
Jackson has taken after his dad a bit. He’s appeared on NBC Nightly News Kids Edition as a correspondent. “I learned that you always have to be prepared and just act like you’re having a conversation. (Celebrities) are just regular people… Don’t overthink it,” the teen told Today in April 2022.
It’s no surprise that the host’s eldest son is such a natural. Carson noted how observant his oldest is. “He’s a sponge. He loves to come to work with me — he watches what everyone is doing,” he told Today.com. “He doesn’t need much direction.”
Jackson has tagged along with his parents to quite a few events, and like all of his siblings, he’s made frequent appearances on their social media platforms. In October 2023, Siri revealed that Jackson had attended the Project Healthy Minds gala with both of them in an Instagram post.
Siri gave birth to the pair’s first daughter Etta, 11, in September 2012. “We welcomed the latest addition to our family. Etta Jones Daly weighs 8 pounds and is beautiful! Mom was a rockstar, Jackson James is a proud big bro and dad’s drinking a cold one. Praise God,” he wrote in a Facebook post, via Closer Weekly.
Carson has revealed that his oldest girl loves “fashion” and the “performing arts,” while speaking to Today.com. Both of Etta’s parents have posted cute photos of Etta on social media. Siri shared a few cute shots of Carson’s The Voice colleague Blake Shelton with many members of their family (including Etta) when the country singer made his departure from the show in May 2023. “You’re stuck with the Daly fam… for better or for worse,” she wrote.
Carson and Siri’s second daughter London Rose, 9, was born in August 2014. Today shared the exciting news on X (formerly Twitter). “Welcome to the world, London Rose Daly! Congrats @CarsonDaly & @siriouslydelish,” they wrote alongside a selfie of the host.
After her birth, Carson gushed about his baby girl. “Siri is a warrior and I’m so amazed by her poise, grace and strength during this miraculous process,” he told Today. “Finally yesterday I got a call … It was Siri saying ‘Come on, come on! It’s happening right now!’ and like out of a movie, I sped to the hospital and they were literally waiting for me to get there and we had our beautiful baby girl.”
During the COVID pandemic, London did crash his Today broadcast from home in a hilarious moment on-air. The hilarity is no surprise. He told the show’s website that she loves to get a rise out of people. “She’s volatile — but in a funny way. She’s like a comedian. She loves to entertain and make people laugh,” he said.
Shortly after the COVID pandemic hit in 2020, Siri and Carson became parents for the fourth time. Siri gave birth to their youngest daughter Goldie, 3, in March 2020. “Go Go and mom are doing great. The Daly family wants to send a special shout out to the incredibly brave & selfless medical staff at our hospital in New York and also the many courageous people on the front lines of this dreadful virus,” Carson wrote on Instagram at the time. “We thank God not only for the safe birth of our daughter, but for their tireless work attending to so many in need.”
A few weeks after she was born, Carson introduced her to Today viewers in a sweet segment where he gushed about his then-newborn babygirl. “She is the pot of gold in our family rainbow and she came obviously in a much-needed time with what’s happening in our country,” he said.
