Cole DeBoer couldn’t be prouder of his wife Chelsea Houska. Following her emotional goodbye to Teen Mom 2, and a franchise that was a huge part of her life since she was a teenager, Cole took to Instagram on December 30 to share the most loving message dedicated to the soon-to-be mother-of-four. “First off let me state the obvious and comment on how beautiful my wife truly is,” Cole, 32, began the caption to a photo featuring Chelsea, 29, looking strong and stoic.
“I am wanting to just congratulate my sweet perfect wife for being apart of a show about her life for such a long time and being able to have control and know what she truly wanted in life,” he continued. “If you always watched from the beginning you will know how much sh*t Chelsea has made it through, she is tough as nails, such a bada**. Birthed our last child without even having a Tylenol. I look up to her,” he wrote.
“She has came full circle on the show and I can’t even put into words how proud I am of her and how lucky and grateful I am to have her as my wife! There are so many ladies out there that could use advice or that can truly learn things just by watching and following my wife’s story. I am beyond proud of her and she has become such a bada** already that I know the sky is the limit for her. We truly are grateful and appreciate all of you who tuned in and followed Our story. From the bottom of our hearts, Thank You,” he concluded the message.
Cole’s adoring post comes just after the December 29th episode of Teen Mom 2, in which Chelsea opened up to Cole about her time with the show coming to an end. Chelsea, an original cast member of 16 & Pregnant, has been a part of the Teen Mom franchise since she was only 17 years old. The young mom welcomed her sweet 11-year-old daughter, Aubree Lind-DeBoer, with ex Adam Lind during the series’ original run.
Prior to the show’s recent episode, fans wondered whether Chelsea would remain apart of the show for much longer. At the end of October, news broke that Chelsea would be leaving the series that catapulted her to fame. By November 10, Chelsea confirmed the news herself in an emotional post on Instagram, highlighting just how “grateful” she was to have been a part of the series that became a cultural phenomenon.
Now, Chelsea is heading into a brand new chapter, but she has the love and support of her family there by her side. A lot has happened since Chelsea appeared on 16 & Pregnant roughly one decade ago. In October 2016, Chelsea said ‘I do’ to Cole and two years of dating, and the couple went on to welcome their son, Watson, in January 2017. Their daughter, Layne, followed and was born in August 2018. Now, the couple is expecting their third little one in 2021.
