Best Met Gala Dresses Of All Time — 25 Amazing Looks

This year the theme for the annual Met Gala was: “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between,” and Rihanna rose to the occasion in her avant-garde ensemble by Comme des Garcons — and she totally rocked it! Sometimes when stars attempt to follow the theme their look can seem wacky, but in this instance Rihanna’s dress was totally high-fashion and chic — and it’s bound to go down in history as one of the best Met Gala dresses of all time.

Wearing such a structural ensemble isn’t easy, but RiRi was wearing the dress — it wasn’t the other way around. The fabric fanned out around her like petals, framing her face, while red leather gladiator sandals laced all the way up to her thighs. Her high bun polished off the look. She rocked intense red eye makeup, a beauty look that once graced designer Rei Kawakubo‘s runway.

When it comes to following a theme, RiRi always rises to the occasion — she’s like the best person to invite to a costume party! What did you think of Rihanna’s dramatic entrance at the Met Gala? Did you love her look as much as we did? Check it out above and let us know.
