1. She was on a different NBC competition show first
Before she was on The Voice, Brennley Brown competed on America’s Got Talent. She was just 14 years old when she made her debut on the show on season 11 in May 2016, singing “Wild Horses” by the Rolling Stones. All three judges, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell, voted ‘Yes’ for her, but she was eliminated in the next round (Judge Cuts) after a performance of “Stop! In The Name Of Love.”
2. She’s on a Disney Channel show
Sofia voices a character named Lily on the animated Disney series Sofia The First. She’s appeared in various episodes between 2014 and 2016.
3. She sang for 25,000 people at just nine years old
After finding a passion for performing at the age of five, Brennley continued to pursue music, and when she was just nine years old, she was invited to perform as a guest soloist for the U.S. Open. 25,000 people were in the crowd when she performed at Arthur Ashe Stadium, and she was invited back three years in a row.
4. She’s a songwriter, too
Brennley is not only a talented country singer, but she also writes her own songs and plays guitar. She started songwriting when she was just 11 years old, and at 13, she held her very fist concert to raise money for a trip to Nashville. The show was sold-out.
5. Her mom is sick with an incurable disease
When Brennley was just two and three years old, her mother was in and out of hospitals before she was eventually diagnosed with Lyme carditis, a form of Lyme disease that has no cure. She actually became invested in singing because it helped take her mind off what was going on with her mother.
HollywoodLifers, do you think Brennley has a chance to win season 12 of The Voice?
