“I would love to do a Sister, Sister reboot,” Tia Mowry-Hardrict, 38, told Wendy Williams, 52, on the March 16 edition of The Wendy Williams Show. “I will say, it’s closer than ever to making that happen. We’re trying to make it no longer a rumor. And everybody’s on board so far, so we’ll see.”
HollywoodLife.com talked EXCLUSIVELY with Tia back May 2016 about a potential reboot, and she told us then that she just needed to “get in touch” with the right people to make the reboot happen. She agreed that a lot of people would love to see the cast reunite after all these years. HollywoodLife.com then chatted with Tamera Mowry, 38, in Oct. 2016 who told us that they have an “idea” about the reboot were just “looking for a studio” to make it official.
Sister, Sister ran from 1994 to 1999 and starred the twin sisters. The show quickly became a ’90s classic and beloved amongst fans.
TV reboots are all the rage right now, after the success of Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life, Lethal Weapon, and Fuller House. Getting the Sister, Sister crew back together is what a lot of fans have been waiting to see. With everyone on board, what’s the hold up?
Tia, who also has her own Cooking Channel show, recently released a new book, Whole New You: How Real Food Transforms Your Life, for a Healthier, More Gorgeous You, about clean eating. Tamera is currently a co-host on The Real.
