Zayn Malik, 23, came to show off his own voice for The Voice judges on Tuesday night, May 24. The singer brought his “Like I Would” music video to real life with sick laser lights and smooth moves, and it was awesome.
He made it! After rumors swirled that Zayn had canceled his performance for The Voice without any reason, he surprised everyone by taking the stage during the 2-hour finale. So exciting!
Zayn kicked off the second hour of the finale with a solo performance of his latest single, “Like I Would,” and he looked damn good doing so. Standing in the center of a spotlight surrounded by a bunch of moving laser lights, Zayn bopped around just like in the official music video for the song. The crowd could even be heard clapping on beat in the beginning of the song!
We just love how Zayn kept his performance simple, even with the wild laser lights dancing all around. His vocals were totally out of this world, hitting those signature high notes he became known for when he was a member of One Direction.
Even The Voice‘s official Twitter account couldn’t hold in their fangirling over the former 1D singer. Check out some of the hilarious tweets below:

Unfortunately, it appears many fans may have missed out on watching Zayn’s performance after it was rumored they were sent home and told that he had canceled. The rumor started when fans tweeted that they had been given a Panera lunch and then told that Zayn had canceled, so they should leave. It’s unclear what really happened, and although HollywoodLife.com reached out to Zayn’s team we did not receive a response. Either way, we are glad to see that everything worked out!
