Prince’s Estate: Will Ex Loves Mayte Garcia & Apollonia Be Taken Care Of?

Prince apparently did not leave a will and now his half-sister, Tyka Nelson, stands to inherit his $300 million, but what about the women in his life that he was supporting financially? His ex-wife, Mayte Garcia, and his ex-lover, Apollonia, depended on his financial generosity, so does the gravy train end for them, too?

The buck stops here. Prince was a meticulous business man but he shockingly did not draft a will before his death on April 21 and now HollywoodLife.com has learned that Mayte Garcia and Apollonia will both helped financially by the Grammy winner.

“Prince was very generous and he takes care of everybody … for sure he was financially taking care of Mayte, for sure, he was very generous,” a source says. “I don’t know about Apollonia. She had a lot going on and maybe didn’t need his help as much.” Another source adds that Prince did send money from time to time to Apollonia. Mayte was recently spotted crying outside of her home and telling photographers that she would be heading to Minnesota for Prince’s funeral. Prince and Mayte were married from 1996 – 2000. She released a statement that read: “I can’t even think of the words of what I’m feeling. This man was my everything, we had a family. I am beyond deeply saddened and devastated. I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally. He’s with our son now.” They gave birth to one son, Boy Gregory, who died one week after his birth due to a genetic disorder, Pfeiffer syndrome.

Apollonia broke her silence on Facebook April 26 and said: “My dear friends and family, thank you so much for your sentiments and prayers. The love you have shown for my dear friend Prince has been my support system. Your dedication to him is profound and beyond words. Please know that during these most difficult days I have spent my time with my close friend and media consultant Elliot Mintz. He has been my guide and guardian angel as I want to honor and continue to have the greatest respect for Prince and his preference for privacy. When I am ready and it’s appropriate I will share with you all that is in my heart and all that is my truth. Thank you for your love, understanding and patience. You are everything 2 me.”
