Stana Katic is breaking the hearts of ‘Castle’ addicts who will no longer get to see Detective Kate Beckett kick butt on their fave ABC drama. Though we all know her as one half of ‘Caskett,’ HollywoodLife.com has five important facts for you about Stana herself!

ABC dropped the shocking announcement on April 18 that Castle star Stana Katic, 37, would not be returning to the hit drama after season 8. Now that Stana is no longer Kate Beckett, the detective who stole Richard Castle’s (Nathan Fillion‘s) heary, we wanted to know more about this incredible actress. Click through for five important facts about Stana!

Stana already has other projects lined up!

She’s not sitting around post-Castle. Stana has several movies coming out in 2016 alone, per IMDb: The Rendezvous, The Tourist, Sister Cities and Lost in Florence. Though we know her best from Castle, she’s been in a number of other significant projects aside from the series, including Quantum of Solace, Big Sur, CBGB, The Spirit, and For Lovers Only. She’s got a good future ahead of her!

She has her own production company.

In 2009 Stana established her own production company, called Sine Timore Productions, which is latin for “without fear.” She produced 17 episodes of Castle!

She’s multilingual.

Talk about a smartie. The Canadian-American speaks English, Serbian, Croatian, French, Italian and Slovenian fluently. Seriously.

There’s a rumor that she and Nathan hate each other.

Though they have hot chemistry onscreen, and even wound up marrying each other, there’s a persistent rumor that Stana and costar Nathan do not get along! Whether or not this gave any weight to her decision to leave the show is still unknown. So sad if true, because we love us some Caskett!

She’s an award winner!

Stana has won five People’s Choice Awards, including Favorite TV Couple and Favorite TV Crime Drama Actress.
