Donald Trump: Stop Inciting Students & Children To Spew Hate Against Minorities

Donald Trump, not only are your racist rants inspiring scary, bigoted behavior among students and children, you’re too much of a coward to even respond to questions about the frightening phenomenon.

Donald Trump, you weren’t man enough, despite your extra large penis, to answer NPR reporter Cokie Roberts‘ question about children repeating your deportation threats to other children. That’s right, Donald. Respected journalist Cokie Roberts asked for your response to incidents in which white children have taunted minority children with your name and your promises to deport illegal immigrants. Here’s what went down  between you and Cokie on the morning of Weds., March 9.

Roberts confronted Trump on MSNBC’s Morning Joe show with the situation: “There have been incidents of children, white children, pointing to their darker-skinned classmates and saying, ‘you’ll be deported when Donald Trump is president’. There have been incidents of white kids at basketball games holding up signs to teams which have Hispanic kids on them, saying, ‘we’re going to build a wall to keep you out’,” Roberts explained. Then she asked Trump: “Are you proud of that? Is that something you’ve done in American political and social discourse that you’re proud of?”

Now, instead of you, Donald Trump, being appalled, ashamed, deeply concerned and/or apologetic about these disturbing incidents — which are documented by many news organizations — you went on the attack. “Well, I think your question is a very nasty question,” was your reply. “And I’m not proud of it because I didn’t even hear of it, okay. And I don’t like it at all when I hear about it. You’re the first person who told me about it.”

Donald Trump, this response is disturbing and concerning on multiple levels. Roberts’ questions wasn’t “nasty”, it was valid, and Americans need to know how do you feel about white high school students at two schools holding up your picture and chanting “Build A Wall”, and “Trump, Trump, Trump” when their basketball teams played other teams which had members of Hispanic heritage. There have been at least two verified incidents with photos at high school basketball games in the past couple of weeks — one in Indiana, and the other in Iowa.

At the Indiana game, students at Andrean High School in Merrillville held up posters of Trump, Dora the Explorer and the Family Guy Hispanic maid and yelled “build a wall”, “no comprende” and “speak English” to the team from the Bishop Noll school in Hammond, which has many Latino members. Four days later, the same thing happened at a game between Perry High School and Dallas Center-Grimes High School in Adel, Iowa. In this case, students from Dallas Center-Grimes led the “Trump” chant throughout the game until the Latino players yelled back that they were born in Dallas County, too!

The fact that you, Donald Trump, say that you are ignorant about these nationally reported incidents, proves how completely ill-prepared you are to be president. How can a man who would be president be so utterly uninformed? You conveniently haven’t heard about the students you inspired to hate, just like you pretended that you didn’t know who Klu Klux Klan leader David Duke was, or even what white supremacists are. Roberts tried to get you back to her question about the effects of your anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim rhetoric on American children.

She asked: “When you talk about deporting people and you talk about building a wall and you talk about banning Muslims, doesn’t that have an effect on children, doesn’t that have an effect on the whole discourse?” There are also reports of third grade children laughing at their darker skinned classmates in Fairfax County, Virginia, and pointing out that they are immigrants who would be sent “home” when Donald Trump becomes president. Trump ignored Cokie Roberts’ question about the effects on children of his pronouncements, insisting instead that “people are responding very positively” to his plan to build a wall along the Mexican border.

So thanks to Donald Trump and his hate-filled promises, there are white young people who think it’s A-ok to be bigoted. And thanks to Donald Trump, young Latinos, Muslim-Americans and African-Americans, now are being mocked and insulted in 2016, simply for being themselves. We have come so far as a country towards making racism and prejudice unacceptable. The situation was by no means perfect, but now you, Trump, are throwing us back in time. And Donald, your victims are kids.

So stop whining about “nasty” questions and man up and shut up. Stop spreading hate and dissension. Stop scapegoating. None of this is what a president does.

Do you agree, Hollywoodlifers? Watch Donald’s interview, above, and let me know.
