Miranda Lambert & Blake Shelton: She Never Believed He Really Wanted Kids

Not so fast! Miranda may not be the one to blame for her split with Blake Shelton. Despite an earlier report claiming she refused to have kids with him, it was actually Blake who didn’t seem to want to start a family with Miranda, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned.

We were shocked when Blake Shelton, 39, and Miranda Lambert, 32, called it quits earlier this year, and it may have had something to do with one party’s disinterest in starting a family. But while a new report claims it was Miranda who didn’t want kids, she actually believes he was the one who didn’t want them.

“Miranda and Blake had talked about having kids a number of times, but it wasn’t like either of them were pushing that hard for it during their marriage. Miranda had worked on herself mentally, emotionally and physically. She was proud of the weight she had lost and wanted to enjoy it for a while. Blake would say he wanted to start a family, but he was always working, in the studio, on tour or on The Voice. Miranda never really believed he wanted kids as bad as he made it seem,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

It’s disheartening to hear that Blake didn’t want to have kids. Especially because his new girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, 46, has three children of her own — Kingston, 9, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 20 months.

Divorces are never fun and we may never truly know the answer for why Blake and Miranda decided to split, but we hope they both find what they’re looking for. Blake seems happy with Gwen, so we can only hope Miranda finds the same with someone in the near future.

What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Who do you think didn’t want kids?
