Wow, former Playboy Playmates Karissa and Kristina Shannon are counting their lucky stars this week. The ladies were in a bad car crash on Oct. 12, and have luckily walked away mostly unscathed.
The Girls Next Door: The Complete Series
The 26-year-old twins were driving through Beverly Hills, and Kristina scarily lost control of the car. Firefighters had to cut open the roof of their Mercedes to get her out, and her sister was pulled to safety through the windshield. (CLICK HERE TO SEE PICTURES OF THE CRASH).
Hugh Hefner’s former girlfriends were rushed to a local hospital, and their injuries amazingly only added up to a few cuts and bruises. While getting treated, Kristina was booked for misdemeanor DUI, according to TMZ. Definitely not good news, but what’s most important is that the girls are okay.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time either of the ladies have found themselves in legal trouble. Karissa was arrested for misdemeanor battery in 2007, and they were both charged with aggravated battery in Jan. 2008 after allegedly getting in a fight at a house party with two other attendees. The girls pled no contest to that charge, and were put on probation.
Karissa and Kristina moved into the Playboy mansion in 2008 and appeared on the E! reality series Girls Next Door. They moved out in Jan. 2010, but continued to appear on the show, then added to their reality TV career on Celebrity Big Brother in 2012. Click here to watch Krista and Shannon on Girls Next Door.
