Ellen Pompeo Blasts Daniel Craig For James Bond Comments: He Needs A ‘Reality Check’

Ellen Pompeo is adding her voice to the sea of people truly shocked by Daniel Craig’s horrific comment that he’d rather commit suicide than ever play James Bond again. The ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ totally dragged Daniel on Twitter!

Ellen Pompeo, 45, is furious that Daniel Craig, 47, flippantly said that he’d take his own life instead of doing another James Bond movie after the upcoming Spectre, and called him out on Twitter October 8. The current Bond desperately needs to realize what he said, according to the Grey’s Anatomy star, because it is unacceptable!

“This dude needs a reality check,” Ellen tweeted, sharing a link to a Just Jared article with the headline “Daniel Craig Would Rather Slit His Wrists Than Do Another James Bond Film.” Wow, Daniel.

Ellen isn’t the only person absolutely outraged by Daniel’s absurd statement;  in an interview with  Time Out London, when asked if he’d want to suit up as 007 again, he said: “Now? I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists. No, not at the moment. Not at all. That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on.”

Interviewer Dave Calhoun did ask him to clarify his statement (that later went viral), and his answer was more measured about if he’s actually never going to play Bond again. The damage was already done, though.

“I haven’t given it any thought,” Daniel said. “For at least a year or two, I just don’t want to think about it. I don’t know what the next step is. I’ve no idea. Not because I’m trying to be cagey. Who the f–k knows? At the moment, we’ve done it. I’m not in discussion with anybody about anything. If I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money.”

Well, he seems pretty set there. It appears Ellen believed Daniel’s comments to be gross, that he needed to be more grateful for the major opportunity that he was handed. And she knows about playing a character for a long time; she’s played Meredith Grey on Grey’s Anatomy for over 10 years!
