Iggy Azalea, 25, fought back on Twitter after her manager and mentor, T.I., 35, decided to share some sordid details about why he cut ties with the rapper. The problem: he had never bothered to mention any of those reasons to Iggy! She was not taking it lying down.
One way to make Iggy mad? Trash her work ethic and behavior while leaving her out of the discussion. T.I. visited radio station HOT 97 on September 17, and told host Ebro Darden that he’s taken a “bit of a rest stop” in his business relationship. However, he’s yet to talk to Iggy about that personally. Probably would have been good to tell her before going on air!
Iggy was completely offended, and lashed out on Twitter later the same day at T.I. “Heres the deal, I am still signed to @tip and do business with him. The first ive heard of us having an “issue” is via a radio interview,” she wrote first. “Personally, i dont think the radio is the place to talk about your personal issues with someone thats part of your team…”
Yikes. Someone was feeling burned by that interview, and you know, with good reason. Though Iggy is still signed to T.I.’s The Grand Hustle Records label, he threw her under the bus during the interview, explaining his reason for going silent on his client.
His main concerns were with Iggy’s many Twitter spats, especially the raging feud between her and fellow rapper Azealia Banks. Also cited: Iggy’s December 2014 with Q-Tip, who called her out for cultural appropriation.
“After I kind of had smoothed it over, like okay, ‘What is really meant to be said here is…’ Then, after it was cool, you know what I mean, everything was cool,” T.I. said about trying to defend Iggy. “And then [Team Iggy] kind of came back and undid what I had just [done].”

Although, he did have something kind to add. “She had a lot thrown at her in one time, any human being anywhere is going to have a hard time. It’s very difficult to be the new kid and to be the butt of the jokes and to be directed, like, be the direction of all the negativity, you know what I mean?”
It seems doubtful that Iggy’s going to let this go anytime soon. If she’s still T.I.’s client, why would he do this? HollywoodLifers, what do you think about T.I.’s statements?
