Michael Jackson died six years ago, but he still lives in the hearts of many. The King of Pop would have turned 57 years old on Aug. 29, and to celebrate his special day, celebs are taking to Twitter to remember the incredible influence MJ had on music and the world today. In June, celebs took to Twitter to mourn the anniversary of his death, but today they are celebrating his life. The “Thriller” singer revolutionized music today and quickly became a pop culture icon. His music videos for “Thriller” and “Billie Jean” were praised for breaking down racial barriers and transforming music into the art form of the music video. Michael passed away on June 25, 2009 at the age of 50. His death was ruled as a homicide after his doctor prescribed him an irresponsible amount of drugs.
