Okay, what’s up with 1D? First they were taking a break, then they were promising they would be back, but now their manager/mentor Simon Cowell has us feeling unsure about their future. On Wednesday night, Aug. 26, Simon spoke to the Daily Mail about their break… and what he had to say was not exactly comforting.
“I’ve known for a while that they were going to take this year off. They had to because of their workload,” he said when asked about One Direction’s break. However, when he asked whether or not they would get back together after the break he said, “I hope so, but like I said, it’s not going to be because of any pressure from me.”
Um, you hope so, Simon? You hope so? That does not sound definite, or promising, or hopeful. Directioners, are you freaking out like I’m freaking out right now?
Simon did go on to call the boys “loyal,” and he said that taking a year off would be a”healthy” for them. As many of their fans know, One Direction has pretty much been running laps around the world since they formed. Fingers crossed they find each other again after a year!
