‘Teen Wolf’ Finale Recap: [SPOILER] Dies At The Hands Of Theo

The season 5A finale of ‘Teen Wolf’ was absolutely insane. It was a one hour episode filled with shocking reveals and jaw-dropping twists no one saw coming. Theo proved he’s the head villain in charge and actually KILLED [SPOILER]! (But there’s a catch.)

Everyone is still trying to process that epic Teen Wolf finale. It was that crazy. On the Aug. 24 episode, Theo (Cody Christian) brought the members of Scott’s pack to their knees, Scott (Tyler Posey) had an insane, bloody confrontation with one of his closest friends and we finally found out Parrish’s true identity!

Liam didn’t understand why Scott refused to bite Hayden. Scott believed there was another way to save her life, it was too late to turn her. Liam was furious. Scott started having an asthma attack. Basically, he was breaking down.

Stiles left the clinic in the Jeep with the bloody wrench in the passenger side. The poor Jeep just broke down, but Stiles was determined to save Roscoe. His anger got the best of him, and he threw the tool kit out. He also took that infamous wrench and threw it straight at his Jeep. How could you do that to Roscoe, Stiles?! My heart is broken for him. Everything around him is crumbling, and he’s just trying to get by.

Sheriff Stilinski and the rest of the police were running into some trouble — of the supernatural kind. The station got a call into the station from Deputy Clarke. Apparently, a suspect in question leapt over her car. Sheriff Stilinski went over to Beacon Hills High as back-up, but that wasn’t going to be enough. When they turned the corner in the hallway, the Beacon Hills marquee was in the middle of the hallway! Oh, and there was a full moon. Great.

First Loves, Roscoe & Answers

Meanwhile, Mama McCall was doing whatever it took to try and help Hayden. Liam was naturally very worried about her and stayed by her side. Theo was trying to get everyone to stay calm. He was being a little too cool about all of this. Later, he talked to Scott about first loves. Liam was clearly in love with Hayden and would be devastated if he lost her. Theo asked if Scott remembered his first love. “Trust me. I remember,” he said. That was an Allison Argent (RIP) reference!

Lydia slept by Parrish’s side in jail. He told her to leave, but she wanted stay. They had some intimate hand-touching, and my inner Stydia fangirl didn’t like it one bit. Despite the chaos, Scott took a little bit of a rest. While he was sleeping, Liam showed up with eyes blazing with anger. Liam, let’s not do something you’ll regret.

Stiles got Roscoe towed away, and it was singlehandedly one of the most heartbreaking moments in Teen Wolf history. Malia picked him up, and they rode away in silence. She took him to the station. There was definitely some awkward tension between them. Malia finally admitted she knew he killed Donovan. “It didn’t matter to me,” she said. “That’s why I never said anything.” Unlike Scott.

“It matters to me,” Stiles said.

Lydia was still at the station and asked Parrish if he was ever scared of her. He talked about the night he ran into the guy with the blue claws. He thought he was going to die and saw her. He said she was the one who kept him alive. That’s when Lydia thought of something and left. She started reading about a guardian of the supernatural, a black dog more formally known as the HELLHOUND. Oh my god, Parrish is a hellhound! Hell. Hound. She started hearing what was going to happen later in the library, and it didn’t sound good. That’s when Theo showed up. He couldn’t let her tell anyone what was going to happen, so he slapped the bejesus out of her.

A Truly Evil Creation

Hayden wasn’t doing too hot. She knew the end was near. She pleaded with Scott to call her sister because she didn’t want to die without seeing her. Scott was willing to tell Deputy Clarke everything so she’d be able to be with Hayden. Hayden’s condition continued to worsen, so Mama McCall took her to the hospital.

Malia was casually hanging in a cave and remembered the wreck with the Desert Wolf. Theo appeared — completely shirtless — and confronted her. He asked if she was planning on telling Scott she was going to kill her mother. He didn’t really care about her answer — he wanted to help her. No, Malia! DO NOT DO THAT!

Parrish went all hellhound on us and walked out of the station. Stiles told the officers to just take a step back and just let Parrish do his thing. Scott went to the library and couldn’t’ find Lydia. He found her phone and a line of mountain ash trapping him inside. Theo was one throwing down the ash. He also dropped this bombshell: he was the first chimera and a coyote! He was the Dread Doctors’ original experiment. Welp. Theo had big plans, and Scott was going to have to stand there and watch it all unfold on the night of the supermoon.

Scott tried everything to get passed the mountain ash. He’d been able to do it before — why not now? He went up to the roof and discovered his inhaler had been full of wolfsbane the ENTIRE TIME. DEAR GOD. Liam showed up angrier than ever. He threatened Scott’s life — all over a girl. They fought, and it wasn’t pretty. Scott finally transformed to show Liam who was the true boss.

Theo Crosses The Line (Big Time)

Malia encountered trouble with a supernatural creature, possibly another chimera. At this point, who knows… Thankfully, Braeden showed up to save the day. Girl power! So where is Derek?!

Stiles watched as Parrish went and found Corey’s body and left. Stiles went to Theo and said they had to get to Scott ASAP about what was happening with Parrish. Theo didn’t want to do all that. He came clean about his intentions in Beacon Hills. He’d come for the werecoyotes, the angry beta, the banshee, the dark kitsune and void Stiles. He didn’t want Scott in his pack. Theo taunted Stiles by saying he had more blood on his hands than anyone in the pack. Stiles punched the lights out of Theo, and it was glorious. However, he was playing right into Theo’s hands. Whatever. It was still awesome.

He got this one final dig in at Stiles. It was a doozy. “You can’t save Scott and your dad’s life,” Theo warned. Holy nuts. Meanwhile, Scott and Liam were still going at it. Liam confessed that it wasn’t Theo telling him to attack Scott, he wanted to kill him. In the middle of Liam’s rage and brutal attack on Scott, Hayden died. Mason showed up to break the tragic news.

Mason was trying to help Scott after nearly being cut up by Liam when Theo arrived. Scott being alive was not a part of the plan. So Theo wanted to finish the job. As Theo plunged his hand into Scott’s chest, Scott told Theo he would never win because “you’re barely even human.” Theo jabbed his claws further into Scott’s guts, and Scott’s eyes went dark. Wait, did Scott just die?!

Hope Is The Ultimate Weapon

Mama McCall ran to Scott’s side, but Mason believed it was too late. Scott hadn’t been breathing for 15 minutes. Mama McCall continued to perform CPR on her boy. After one final move, Scott returned to life. Mama McCall for the win! Stiles ran to his dad’s side, and he was a bloody mess. Could the Sheriff be dead? Please don’t do that to Stiles. I don’t think he can take it.

Parrish arrived nearly naked to pick up Hayden’s dead body. Just as Scott did with Allison, Liam held Hayden in his arms. He gave her a sweet kiss before handing her over.

Up until this point, there was someone we hadn’t heard a lot from: Lydia. Well, Theo completely broke her. He brought her to the nemeton and started bringing all the dead kids — Tracy, Donovan, Hayden and more — back to life. He created his own pack and was now their alpha. Theo was in charge and had minions to do more of his evil work. Bless.

Mama McCall consoled Scott after noticing how disappointed he was about letting the pack down. His mother told him not to give up. This was not the end. The best way to bring the pack back together was to give the pack hope. If anyone can do that, it was Scott McCall. However, Scott’s not just going to have to deal with Theo, he’s got the Dread Doctors, too. The trio was seen breaking down a wall that featured a drawing of two supernatural creatures going at it. It’s going to be one hell of a fight for Scott against not just one villain but FOUR.
