Something had changed in Beacon Hills, and it was really tripping Scott up. He was now keeping his inhaler on him at all times because his asthma was back. Everyone was pretending like nothing had happened on the outside, but they were all hiding their fears. “They just don’t know how bad it’s going to be,” Scott said.

No one was talking to each other — looking at you, Stiles and Malia — but for some that was best. That made keeping secrets a lot easier. Like Malia looking for Desert Wolf and Stiles’ nasty bite mark from Donovan.

Scott noticed that Parrish didn’t realize he’s the one who’s been taking the bodies all along. Stiles and Lydia were on the case. FINALLY! These two are always at their best when they’re working together. And don’t think I didn’t notice that stare. Everyone saw it.

The new chimeras, Hayden and Corey, didn’t seem to need Scott’s help. He was also worried about Deaton. He hadn’t returned, thanks to the Desert Wolf. Scott was convinced something was coming, and he was honestly scared for what was next. Even though things were about to get way worse, Theo said he was with Scott “for better or for worse.” Lies.

Secrets & Lies

Theo went to The Dread Doctors and said he needed more time. The Dread Doctors muttered some gibberish and didn’t pay attention to him whatsoever. They called Hayden a “failure,” but Theo was adamant about keeping her alive. Apparently, the trio had promised Theo a pack. When he got a little too big for his britches, The Dread Doctors looked back at him, and Theo looked genuinely scared.

Meanwhile, Sheriff Stilinski was beginning to believe that they didn’t need to look for new chimeras, but be on the lookout for the failures a.k.a. the kids bleeding mercury. Speaking of the new chimeras, Corey was getting stronger and Mason was noticing. Hayden and Liam were busy being cute and sharing adorable kisses by the bus. That is, until she started bleeding mercury. Uh oh.

Stiles discussed the latest on Parrish with Theo, who shadily brought up Donovan. That only made Stiles bring up Josh. Eye for an eye, Theo. Theo “said” he didn’t think Scott would blame them for defending themselves. Stiles wasn’t so sure. The guilt was weighing on him — he even hallucinated dead Stiles! Theo was up to no good once again. As he headed to the hospital to go after Corey, who began barfing up mercury, Theo spilled the beans to Scott.

Theo said Donovan attacked Stiles, and it sparked Stiles’ rage. He claimed that Stiles just kept hitting Donovan with a wrench until Donovan was unrecognizable. THAT IS NOT WHAT HAPPENED. “I’ve never seen someone so angry,” Theo said through tears. I simply cannot with Theo right now.

A Big Fat Wake-Up Call

Sheriff Stilinski went through the school library looking for mercury clues. That’s when he remembered the moment about Stiles and Theo’s key cards, and it all started to hit him. Sheriff Stilinski questioned Theo. Surprisingly, Theo said Stiles wasn’t at the library. Theo took the blame and said he killed Donovan. It was odd. Sheriff believed the whole thing, and as they hugged, Theo got that dark look in his eye.

In the midst of all this, Malia was dealing with her own drama. She saw Beth break a tooth in class and run out. Malia tried to confront her, but Beth slammed her against the lockers. Malia continued to run after her and watched as The Dread Doctors snapped her neck. Another day, another failure. Corey met the same fate as Beth. He tried to evade The Dread Doctors at the hospital, but it was no use. One of the Doctors stabbed him.

Malia walked aimlessly down the hall after Beth’s death, and Stiles knew something was up. Stiles called Lydia, who was with Parrish trying to figure out what in the heck was up with him. He didn’t want her to stand in Parrish’s way. Aw! He was worried about her! She tried to get Parrish to remember his dream and lead them to the nemeton. She got a chance to show off her new moves to Parrish, and the sexual tension between them was INTENSE. It worked. They found the nemeton, and Parrish saw all the dead bodies.

Parrish started flipping out over the fact that his dream was real, and he was likely covering up the bodies of murdered teens. Lydia didn’t see it that way. She believed maybe Parrish was helping keep the secret of the supernatural safe. Parrish warned it wasn’t just a couple of bodies, there were hundreds of bodies at the nemeton. What does it all mean?!

Parrish ended up locking himself up at the Beacon Hills jail. He admitted to Stilinski that he was the one taking the bodies, and he couldn’t let him out. Parrish is so righteous. I heart him.

#PrayForSciles

In the midst of all this, Liam and Hayden were preparing to run away together. All they had to do was grab money from the club. Unfortunately, they were met by The Dread Doctors. They tried to escape but had no luck. Scott showed up just in time for the fight, and he and Liam teamed up against the deadly trio. It didn’t go too well. Theo made his grand entrance and put up a fight.

While Scott and Theo battled The Dread Doctors, Liam went after Hayden. He ran in just as they injected something into her neck. Hayden’s eyes filled with mercury. Scott urged them to all meet at the animal clinic. On the way there, Liam tried to think of ways to save Hayden. One idea included Scott turning her into a werewolf!

Stiles showed up to the clinic in the middle of a monsoon. He wasn’t exactly welcomed by his BFF. Scott showed Stiles the wrench. Stiles said he was going to tell Scott about what happened, he just needed it to be the right moment. Stiles admitted to killing Donovan, and Scott started judging him for it. “There’s always a choice,” Scott yelled, breaking the hearts of Sciles fans everywhere. Scott stood there trying to convince himself that they couldn’t kill people they were trying to save.

Stiles was enraged. He wasn’t like the rest of the gang. “Some of us have to get our hands a little bloody sometimes. Some of us are human!” he screamed. He pleaded with Scott that he didn’t have a choice, and he realized Scott didn’t believe him. When Stiles asked how to fix the situation, Scott totally avoided the question. Sciles is in a million pieces, and it’s all Theo’s fault. (Once again, Dylan O’Brien commanded the scene. It was absolutely gut-wrenching.)

Something had changed in Beacon Hills, and all fingers were pointing at Scott (and Theo, too). After his devastating blowout with Stiles, Scott refused to save Hayden’s life by turning her into a werewolf, even though Liam was begging him to. Scott, is that you?! No one recognizes you!
