Chris Brown, 26, wants to prove he’s Royalty‘s father once and for all. The “Loyal” singer has asked a judge to order a second paternity test, his baby mama, Nia Guzman‘s, family attorney confirms to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. It might just be a formality for court, but we seriously hope Maury Povich announces the results.
“Chris is asking the judge to order a paternity test,” Nia Guzman’s family attorney, Carl Anthony Moore, told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. It’s quite possible that this is just a formality because on July 1 it was reported that Chris filed legal docs to establish paternity. Nia was allegedly demanding $15k a month in child support, which is way more than Chris believes is fair. If Chris is proven to be Royalty’s biological father, then he will be given the right to fight Nia over support and custody, TMZ claims.
At the time of the report, Nia was claiming Chris has been paying her $2,500 a month — an amount he feels is fair. He’d actually like a judge to decide on a number, which he feels will be closer to his than hers. The singer would also like the judge to establish clear custody guidelines, TMZ further claims. Nia has reportedly been denying him the right to see his daughter, which has left him in tears, so he wants the judge to sort everything out. Taking another paternity test is probably just part of the process, but it’d still be a huge shocker if Chris ended up not being Royalty’s dad.
