Ryan Ranellone and Jaclyn Methuen have decided to call off their marriage — for good. They were the last couple standing from the second season of A&E’s marriage reality show Married At First Sight. The pair, who had been matched up by a panel of experts without ever actually meeting or speaking to each other, made it through the season, but it seems like Jaclyn has now had enough of Ryan, and made her feelings known with a very public breakup announcement.
Jaclyn announced the split with a very blunt post on her Instagram page. The picture showed a quote from Emily Heller and it said, “I’ve been single for a while and I have to say, it’s going very well Like…it’s working out. I think I’m the one.” She also included the hashtags #single, #StillGotMookie, #AnyTakers, #WomenSupportingWomen. For his part, Ryan spoke out on the reunion episode and talking about the end of his marriage: “After the process had ended, obviously it takes effort, and I’m guilty of not making a tremendous effort in trying to make it work.” He then told Methuen, “If I could earn your respect back, I’d be a happy man.” Sigh. If you can’t find love on a basic cable reality show, then where can you find it?

Ryan and Jaclyn were the last couple standing from the marriage reality show. Davina Kullar and Sean Varricchio decided to divorce on the season finale of the show and Ryan De Nino and Jessica Castro split up only a week later. De Nino and Catro had a particularly nasty end to their union, when Jessica took out a restraining order against Ryan after he allegedly made threats against her family. Compared to that, an Instagram breakup doesn’t seem so bad.
