Jonah Hill was seen out and about in Burbank, California on April 29, filming his new movie Arms and the Dudes, and the funny guy was looking noticeably more plump. The Wolf of Wall Street actor, 31, has very publicly gone through weight fluctuations and it appears as though his struggles continue. But could his most recent weight gain be for a new role?
Jonah Hill is hard at work.
The busy actor, who rose to fame following his breakout role in Superbad, is currently filming a new movie, Arms and the Dudes, which is due out in 2016. Jonah was caught on set recently, wearing a couple different outfits, both of which revealed an obvious weight gain. The on set pics have fans wondering if Jonah adjusting his physical appearance for the role.
A source revealed to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that Jonah’s “weight gain is for the character he’s playing right now…He is wearing a body suit.”
The movie, which does not have a specified release date yet, will bring to life Guy Lawson‘s infamous Rolling Stone article which depicted the story of two stoners who become unlikely arms dealers. Along with Jonah, the movie will star Miles Teller and will be directed by Todd Philips.
In the pics, Jonah’s first outfit consists of a powder blue, linen button down, paired with beige linen pants and loafers. The second outfit was similarly basic, made up of a black button down and white shorts. Interestingly, in one of the outfits, Jonah is seen wearing a yarmulke, which is also likely a part of his costume.
In 2011, while starring in the Brad Pitt film, Moneyball, Jonah lost a drastic 40 pounds. He told ABC News, “it was just mostly diet. I wish there was some crazy thing that I did, like a pill or a genie or something.”
Do you think Jonah’s weight gain is for a role?
