Is Aaron Carter finally over Hilary Duff? The 27-year-old hunk took to Twitter on March 5 and sent a message to his ex-girlfriend, claiming that his feelings for her are no more. So why the sudden change of heart? After all, just last year, Aaron claimed that he’d spend the rest of his life trying to win her back. Apparently, her recent interview in Cosmopolitan magazine rubbed him the wrong way.
On Thursday., March 5, Aaron lashed out on Twitter after Hilary called his online declarations of love for her “ridiculous” in an interview for Cosmopolitan‘s April issue.
Aaron didn’t identify the target of his diss, but the timing of his tweet is a bit suspicious. Don’t you think?!
Aaron and Hilary dated for a couple years, starting in 2000, but they broke up when he allegedly cheated on her with Lindsay Lohan. She married Mike Comrie in 2010, but when they separated in 2014, Aaron admitted he never got over her.
In March 2014, he tweeted: “I’ll spend the rest of my life trying to better myself to get back to her. I don’t care what ANY of you think.”
He continued to confess his love for Hilary — multiple times on social media — but eventually stopped in September, when he said he didn’t want to be “that dude” who breaks up a marriage and a family. At the time, Mike and Hilary were still working on their relationship. They’ve since filed for divorce.
Then, nothing was said until Hilary brought it up in her interview with Cosmopolitan magazine. “[Aaron] reaching out through social media? It’s ridiculous!” she said, before adding, “But then people do it all the time, like Chris Brown and Karrueche? Come on, guys. Keep it between text messages.”
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Was Aaron dissing Hilary? Should they get back together? Tell us how you feel!
